Thats the whole point of this game. You are not suppose to go up in ranks if you are not skilled. You can only go up if you do something different from the others which makes you better than them.

Look at 99% of the players in the game. They all attack as soon as they get 15 attack turns. If they keep doing this all the time..they will never break the barrier. You have to come up with a new strategy, Unique to you. Lets face it. There are 100s of ways this can be done. Admin has been kind and added almost everything you can think of. Market, SS... Its up to you to know how to use them to your own advantage.

I think this is a good game!
I also think that u don't need much skill eather!
I think all u need is a good u/p to become good
I also think that in 2 years newbes won't have a chance to get into the top 100 (unless there better then the top ten combined!)
But I have a new idea to make the game freash, but I'm still working on it, and it would require a very good server, and heeps of time coding it
PS: i think theres some truth in this post but I'm aganst a reset

with the ability to de-ascend coming in soon, perhaps there will be a sever punishment when your thrown down, like loosing all your previous ascended gifts in main.. forcing you to re-ascend to re-gain them...

Saying that new players cannot achieve a decent rank or a high enough rank to earn G & R and therefore get ascended is rubbish. I am sick to death of these topics cropping up every 5 minutes.

Forge relationships, make alliances, earn peoples trust, build your stats, attack strategically - all of these things are needed to be successful in the game. If people put as much time and effort (and effort is required) into these things as they did moaning about how difficult things are, they would be there in no time.

I know people who only joined the game in the last couple of months who have, or are close to ascending. I have seen new players who have joined in the last few weeks starting to rise through the ranks - because they are doing the things I mentioned above and not bleating about how hard things are (and some are doing it without SS or PPT).

And actually, when you think about it, now that it is the top 1.5% of total players who receive G&R points (not the Top 100 - I cannot understand why everyone is fixated by the Top 100!!??) - every time a person joins, the top 1.5% increases, so you could suddenly find yourself earning G&R points without actually doing anything.

Stop bleating, start playing!

Well guys... let me throw in my two cents... in regards to this game... I think that the mods and everyone are doing a heck of a good job, implementing upgrades and continually answering some of these types of posts...

I have only been playing for about 4months now... I can't really remember... I am in college.... I have ascended 2x and have worked very hard for that... if you really want to get to a point where you can get to the top 100 or top 10 make some allies, borrow some UU... go on ppt... get whatever you want up some and attack to get it up somemore... anyone... and I do mean ANYONE can get to the top 100... it just requires strategy... I know you say that you keep trying differant strategies... and that is fine... but you can do it... just find one that works to get you up a little and do it over and over and over again.... until you are where you want to be... this game takes time... so put in the time and learn to enjoy the game... and just as a side note... my officer ascended with out opening his wallet at all... it can be done... so just learn the game... and have fun...

Yup, i concur. I have been playing since late June and in the beginning it was a little slow... waiting those first 30 minutes so u can do something gets a little boring but if u work hard u can acheive high ranks with out cash... I have had 1 PPT that cost cash and only 1 other which i got from the market. I am rank 350ish and have been much higher. I once got and kept rank 97 for a couple days i was so happy i was finally getting GR points... then after those 2 days they put in the 1.5% rule i was kinda mad b/c i had just worked my butt off to get those points but i digress... If you think the game is boring one of the most fun things is to become a trader and buy and sell UU, Naq, and AT it is fun and u dont even have to be battling... or u can get into the ingame politics either start a alliance make it grow then you can have your own political force or u can join an alliance and play the politics game with that alliance... Either way this game is not boring and the reset would make more ppl leave than the current situation if this game were truly that boring we wouldnt have so many ppl playing for almost a year

I have held off posting this topic for a few months...I have very powerful friends and I put more then the required amount of effort needed to get to the top...Though I am still trying to get even somewhat good...I am not the same as the (as some of you call) n00bs posting these...I am not just some guy hoping to get good by saying the stuff I am saying and trying to get rewarded with good ranks or whatever...You do not have the right to say I have not tried...I have tried more then most people playing this game...It has nothing to do with making it to the top...I have actually been on PPT a couple times and I do have SS but I am still not even close to good...I am pretty much allied with the GA but I am still strugeling...I have mad MANY friends in this game...I can protect myself but I can not get as good as those who have been playing since the start...And I was looking for an MMORPG based on SGW for years...

No, I agree with Wolf. By your standards you are a noob. Might I add thats the first time in this game I have ever called someone that. I was apart of an extremely small alliance of about 6 people, and within the 3-4 month time frame that you say you have been playing I catapulted myself up to 47th place from being in the 5000-6000 ranks. I didnt even go into PPT! (Except for once when I bought SS because I enjoy the game) I dont play obsessively either. I check my account maybe once or twice a day. I was even IN IRAQ and was able to play one every couple of days. (When the weather was decent) So if your friend are as powerful as you say stop spreading this garbage about how its impossible to get ahead when you simply arent putting forth the effort required.

If you cant figure out what to do, ask your powerful friends how they become so powerful instead of bemoaning how you cant seem to get anywhere. Or even better, PM me ingame and I will recon you to give you advice.

To re-remphasize what has already been said many, many times:

You call nearly everyone posting noobs, ignore the advice given to you, and tell us that we do not have to be rude? You didnt even use the common sense thing like "search" to see how many times a main game reset has been requested, and vehemently told NO.

After all the crying about not being able to get rank you then threaten us all by saying "do some things you may regret." How on earth can you be rude to people, then tell everyone else not to do it? I am completely honest in saying that you are the only person in game, or on the forum that has managed to really draw my ire. (Ask anyone that knows me, Im pretty polite, even with people I dont like that much)

You having a bad week doesnt give you the right to name call other players. If you feel the need to "lose your patience and do something you might regret" feel free to take it out on me in game. You wont like the response.
