It would take too much work, and what if other "bad" people get their hands on the technology? For example, a radical Indian (lives in the actual subcontinent) could feel strongly about the British colony of India, and assassinate a bunch of leaders in the British army to prematurely get them out of India, thereby erasing the rise of Gandhi and the Salt March and such.

it wouldn't make a difference, the only reason India was able to take British out was cause of ww2 and the threat of Germany. they actually did assassinate British leaders, but it didn't make a difference because new ones just replaced them.. the reason why they got freedom was mainly ww2. Gandhi was a lucky guy who took advantage of that situation, and took action against britain. Without him britein would have still left india, just with a different reason.

and also, time travel is impossible because if it was possible, then where are the travelers?

They could have found ways to cloak themselves, we don't really know. Or they could be really sneaky.

time travel is presuming that humans can travel through the fourth dimension in a similar way to how we walk through the space around us in the 3 dimensional world and since humans are not fourth dimensional beings whilst they are subject to the ravages of time we are not able to move through said fourth dimension as we are not of that dimension I had a huge topic on this a loooong time ago I will see if I can find a simple way to explain the differences in dimensions and why time travel is an impossibility for 3 dimensional beings

Just because we have no evidence of time travellers visiting us doesnt mean they dont exist. thats really bad logic

Agreed, it isn't likely they would wear a sign saying "time traveler". They would be as inconspicuous as possible to avoid creating one of those pesky paradoxes.

Time travel.... I think someone theorised that if you used a black hole or even a time machine you'd only be able to travel through time within the existence of that thing.

On the other hand.. if you could travel faster than light.....you get my drift.

I see no point in actually traveling in time...
If you DO see the future it will change.
