yeah it should end, both sides think they are winning, but all it is, is a farm fest, and both sides go off and mass neutral allainces cause both have nothing to lose, that war is a joke

As far as I'm concerned, the GC is for discussion of the wars themselves (IE: who massed who). As this topic is of a more broad and political nature, I'm happy to leave it in general.

However, as we already have an official thread in place for discussion of the war in question I'll be merging those two topics. Please PM me if there's a problem.

And with regard to the topic itself, I think Semper and SmokeJaguar have nailed it pretty well. There are still plenty of people on either side who, for whatever reason, don't want this war to end. As long as there are enough of these people around there is no end in sight. Not for a long while, anyway.

I generally dont get into the politics of things especially where sgw is concerned ..if I can help it, but today I think I will.

With regards to ending the war..there are some sick of, there are some that refuse to give in, there are some that hate it, there are some (allot in my alliance) that enjoy it, there are some that could care less..

It isnt just a farm fest, yes by and large it is, but there are some very good intruiging battles going on during the week with certain players matching up and/or playing against each other on a regular basis..

I am sure TA Massers and TA , specifically Mathlord will 2nd me on this..include Thamuz, and in all honesty they are enjoyable confrontations for the most part. Despite what you read on the GC war thread not every argument is real and not every post and reply is an actual war of words, although most of it is pure garbage.

@Lord Coyle..Not intended to be a smart ass bud, but regardless if this war is on or not, or how long it lasts..speaking for the men and woman in my alliance we dont go and mass nuetral alliances or anyone else because this war is old and boring..we do that because thats what we do, we play, aggressive and relentless, dont care if you dont like it thats just the way it is. Now furthermore no ill intentions are meant toward anyone we hit, if you cant handle it, give in and move on otherwise dig in and do your best.

@Coyle again...you mentione "we have nothing to lose" is why we mass neutrals..there is nothing on my account thats is so valuable it would ruin me me ingame..if you can get it then get it..Theres plenty more where I got what I have.

I actually have to agree with alot of what JT said. This war has THE best fighters and THE biggest battles this game has ever seen. The sheer amount of effort which has gone into both side's projects to bolster their accounts to continue the fight is on a scale unimaginable even when the war was beginning.

And to the people outside wanting this war to end, think of it this way. Without the big distraction that this war provides the big massers, who else would they be hitting?

Another point I would like to enlighten the "bystanders" on..BTW thanks for the reply Math..there have been many occasions when each side launched full scale assaults on each other in actual real time(live) battles. I am glad to have participated in most of those..imagine..each side with MS teams, complete with cover, ac, sab, scouts etc..going head to head, each side trying to find the cover to sab thier strike and allow the big strikers to be vulnerable..I can remember many a night we fought for 3-4 hrs non stop..and the longest I can rememebr is 5 hrs..I believe that was the best gaming I have been involved with in my career thus far...

so to hit on a particular point of neither side can win or lose etc...well those individual nights of team or 1v1 fighting can be won by someone and thats why we play the game the way we do!

If this war was not here then this game would be chaos

Because some players like massing others for fun and dont care if the other player whines about it

So put it this way i'm glad this war is here because i wouldn't like to get massed everyday of the game

What do you hope to accomplish in this war?

All this war has done is ruin great alliances. TLE was once a great empire, now they are few players left in it. TA, once great fighters, but now almost nothing left of them.

This war has made great players leave the game. It continues to.

Robe what do you hope to gain from this war?

If this war continues for another 5years, there will probably be an even more powerful empire around, and you are back to the beginning.

My point is You are boring the players of both sides of this. This isn't a great war anymore like it was a year ago.

This game is not meant to be played at war all the time. A month war is fine, even 3 months. But 1.5years of the same war. This is a game, not a real war lol. Why not set aside your differences and your hates towards players/alliances for the sake of your alliances. 90% of your side do not want this war. A great leader would see this and not let their own suffer through this any longer.

Just think about it. get this war over already.
