Shall I play for rank?

I already stated in another thread that this would be my last wave.

To regain any small amounts of dignity that i have left, i will let the Q community decide whether or not i play for rank or just quit now.

So you have 2 options:

YES - try and win this wave
NO - there is no honour in winning now, just quit.

If you vote NO i will not go on a massing spree, i will simply quit.

Anyone that posts 'you cant win cos im going to sit on you' - well, all the power to you but you wont succeed....Or i will at least make you work for it

EDIT - if you vote a reason would be great...although i suppose some people don't want to post if they said yes cos it would mean you were an associate of mine

At this stage I feel that there would be no reason not to continue
however being fed isnt a crime in my opinion but you guys raged war all era against feeder/fed players, so to hear the very player/s against it are doing the same is very disappointing!

In saying that I can also add that I am a prove it first person and I havent seen anything to indicate that you have a multi so I see no shame in what you have/have not done...

I think you have disgraced yourself and the award you display in your signiature. What I find even more disappointing is that you imply that others in TCC are being fed, although you say you dont know who.

I feel its that attitude that is basically ruining the Quantum server. The whole sense that - if you're losing, you better catch up by any means possible.... strategy? hell no!... lets do some feeding!

As for not being able to win unless you play Q all day every day, well, who really can do that? You arent the only one with work and studies and all that. If that means you cant beat someone who is happy to spend all day, every day playing Q, then frankly that person deserves it more than you do. The challenge is to out-play that person, and if you should succeed, so much sweeter the victory.

I dont think Q would become inactive if the cheating stopped. If anything, once all the obsessive people are gone, other players may be able to better appreciate the intricacies of this server, which in my opinion is easily the best server to play on (if not for the cheating). The style and competitiveness of this server, and the skill required to succeed makes this more enjoyable, and I dont get the pointless, never-ending, not-going-anywhere sensation that comes from playing main.


This server NEEDS the attack log function for all players. It cant really survive without it anymore. I think feeding also needs to be re-addressed. It can not be considered simply 'legal' for people to feed. There needs to be a criteria established that seperates legal and illegal feeding.

In my opinion, loaning somebody naq to get something quicker, and paying it back later is all fair and above board, but practically everything else should be deemed illegal.

If you think you are going to lose, it should be illegal to pass all your resources to a friend from that point onward.

It should be illegal for a non-competitive account to be farming, PPT'ing and transferring resources to a competitive account.

Cross server trading and any player-to-player $$ trades should also be banned.

Naturally $$ upgrades are fine. I feel that each bonus doesnt affect the cosmic balance all that much, and are quite pricey. If at the end of the game I have lost to someone who has spent 400$ when I have spent nothing... well.. I can live with that.


I doubt I will ever play Quantum again without some of the above-mentioned changes. Would you play poker with people knowing they had a loaded deck?

On the other hand it hasn't been proved that you have multis or at least I don't want to believe it untill Admin checks it. If those are really your friends feeding you it's not that big deal, not very nice but tolerable, as I know plenty of players are doing the same, if not worse. The only difference is you have been spotted by bebita, while they are continuing to use these tactics silently under the dark of the night.

legal feeding: allianced mates who are actively playing helping each other out with naq. After all giving naq to an alliance mate contributes to alliance rank at the end of the wave.

illegal feeding: inactive accounts playing for the sole purpose of feeding an active player. Even if the account belongs to a different person it is the same as having a multi account. The reason being that all resources from that account are used for the benefit of the active account. In other words, it is a convenient way around the multi account issue.

Hippy mate. You are a good guy, but the fact that you have been feeding all wave is very disapointing. I will not vote yes or no. This is a decision you should make for yourself or it will have no meaning.

the question of attack logs being visible has already been accepted by admin and he said that it will be in next wave. and then quantum players will determine who is getting lucky with naq hits and feeding and we will all know. all battles and attacks visible to all. but now thats next wave

as for the topic above ... i was the very first vote ... and i voted yes (play for rank). not the first time someone has been fed and in this wave i am sure your not the only one even though we cant see logs. next wave we will see a new change. for this wave to have you quit and another possible feeder win solves nothing. i do feel sorry for bebita since i feel he layed fair and had a shot at rank 1. but a war game will only be a war game with deception and betrayal. so i feel to have you quit and another win who may be possibly feeding is pointless. if anything your a victim of adaptation. quantum been heading down this road and needed the change that will be made next wave. as for now just game on and we see what happens. no use in banning accounts one at a time when we dont get them all. next wave will fix the problems and personally i can wait 12 days or how manys left.

Slug I fully agree with your whole post. At making some sorts of feeding legal and illegal there are some flaws though..For instance we'd need to clarify for how long can a person loan stuff (a few bills at begining are peanuts at the end)..I think we'd be WAY better if Jason would create some sort of a bank where you could lend naq for X amount of days. If you do not return the naq by then the system automatically strips your account of upgrades you purchased with that naq. Of course the naq you have to return should be calculated to fit the rates few days later. For instance you borrowed 1 bil from the game which is 5 times an average hit. 5 days from later an average hit grew from 200 mil to 1bil naq. You would still have to pay back 5 times an average hit which would now be 5 bil naq. If you fail to do so the game automatically strips UP (or weapons or techs) from your account that equal 5 bil now. That's the only way I can think of that would make all sorts of feeding illegal and still allow you to borrow naq but it's now sure that you would have to pay it back.
If any of you could bring this suggestion up on admin meeting I'd be very grateful.

Imo implementing some sort of alliance bank would be a good idea, that only alliance members can access of course. Haven't thinked about it much and I guess it wouldn't be easy to make, especially with some sort of limitations. It's jsut an idea that came to my mind and wanted to share it.

i think you should continue the remander of this era and return next era to try to salvage you reputation. leaving would sugest you were lacking enough self control not to feed which is daft as its only a game.
as nobody has defended feeding so far as i have seen i have a simple solution to stop it.
Right what you do is
1; dont ask people to feed for you
2; post names of people who offer naq
remember your only cheating your self as if you feed you obviously arnt that good

Hippy, I say you should play and continue to play exactly how you want to and do what you want to, it is a War game after all. Who am I to judge you on what you do or do not do in a game full of strategy and tactics??

For whatever reason I felt gut shot when the thread started about what you may or may not have been doing with your playing style. Now I just look on it as a learning experience, one of many from playing this game in both tactics of gameplay and in my long-standing interest in the behavior of those involved in an "electronic community".

The very nature of being involved in a community where I can be anyone I want to, say or act (type) what I want to and none of you can see, understand, or have any way of REALLY knowing who I am and what I do, what I represent makes it now completely clear to me that I deserve anything I get when I participate in a game such as this!!

For all you know Affirmation could be a 45 year old Field Service Engineer from Florida with a wife, family (2 kids graduated college, one of whom plays SGW also) who does this as a hobby - an escape from RL, OR, I might just be a 16 year old **Filtered** wench from England, laughing my arse off as I stalk Lord Apogryph as he frequents the pubs of England...

Either way, you guys/gals would deserve whatever you got from me because you knowingly volunteered to play this game against me! Right??

Hippy, I am NOT your judge, you do as you please, I voluntarily play this game both WITH and Against you... It is a WAR game, and a game of strategy and tactics, and you get to decide how you play, not me. I can either adapt, ignore, or engage you in this game or I can choose to NOT play if I feel the game is not for me.

I choose to play, and let others play however they want...

Just don't scold me in the Forums any more for how I play, feed, assist, or carry on with my game style and type of play, as I will echo this arguement back at you!! I cannot forgive you for outsmarting me or outplaying me with any type of tactics unless I also give myself a pass on using whatever tactics I feel are necessary to outwit and outplay anyone else in a War game! There, that is what I slept on and came up with!!
