EU is first in exportations in the world. Your scheme of things would have countries totally outpassed by USA and Japan.
so what? eu is already outpassed by usa.. and prolly china..

-If EU didn't exist, chances of wars between Europe countries would have been much higher.
thats totall bs. chances of wars have nothing to do with this.

-If EU didn't exist, countries like East Germany would have suffered ALOT from USSR downfall.
and where did you get this idea from?????

-Last part implies a relation of unchanging dominating/dominated nations. I really like your view of things, really..
sorry.. that's just how the world works. there's those who dominate and there's those who are dominated. according to some power law i bet. besides not everyone likes to be dominated by frenchie/german tandem, some ppl want to be free.

uesr will fall anyway.. sooner or later.. when? no one knows... why? because this idea is against the way the world works. it's herding cats... pissing against the wind.

USSR was a joke (as united thing I mean). It was controlled by "Russia" and other countries were manipulated satellites to main country. Conquered by force. EU wasn't. People asked to be into, not forced. "Power conquered by force will fall by force."

It's not by going into dividing that things will go better..

Oh yes they do. If there was no EU, there would be much less reasons to not go to war. Trading thru EU is important. Trades limitate wars. In EU, there is no such rivalry as when countries are divided. No feeling of adversary power trying to take over your strenght (remember feeling of Germany towards Russia in WW1, they feared it for its pop growth and wared to prevent them to pass Germany. EU has several important strenght countries. UK, France, Germany, Italy...

-If EU didn't exist, countries like East Germany would have suffered ALOT from USSR downfall.

That Germany would probably not have reunited, and that west Germany would still be far ahead of east one. Matter of logic. I thought USSR was an epic fail to economies eh?

Dominated is such a strong word...domination before WW1 from few countries there was, yes.

uesr will fall anyway.. sooner or later.. when? no one knows... why? because this idea is against the way the world works. it's herding cats... pissing against the wind.
If people push it to fall, it will have more chances to, indeed...

Edit: Can mods edit/delete useless spam post from previous page? >_<
I won't stop asking until this post in question is deleted. It adds *nothing at all* and thus doesn't deserve to remain here.

Anyway it's not a fail this poll for me, I'm not going to change my view *at all*, just shows me how much euroskeptical/euronegationist people are out there in those forums, and how I don't have anything to do with those people. 8)

interesting how he gets annoyed about posts HE consideres usefull and spam, and how he wants them deleted. very eu-like approach: talk your bs and lies and if someone has something against, silence them.

Care to tell how previous page post I refer to, was on-topic or added anything intelligent to the subject?

It was trolling, and perhaps...spamming.
I know pretty well, having done such things in past against trolls themselves. I recognize useless/flaming/derailing stuff from useful! ;)

I've seen far more interesting posts and far more on-topic posts that were deleted in this&that because they were made solely to discredit the topic's goal, while they were constructive etc...this time, all of that is nonexistent.
I really don't see why this post wouldn't be removed...unless of course it's planned to have this thread derailed!

His post doesn't add anything on this topic, it's just meant to spam, derail and cause troubles. For those reasons, I will report it again.
Amazing how it's an issue to simply delete a spam post.

Could all this delete stuff be splitted in another topic (and the damn spam post be finally deleted?>_<)? Or am I asking too much?

Re: European Union take 2

I just had too high standard expectations, regarding keeping a topic nice for more than a page (and getting help to keep it be nice), my mistake! :(
Hostile person poking at it and all...

Lose what? This ain't a cars race, it's a poll! :?

Re: European Union take 2

It might not add anything, but it is on topic.
Ironically, your complaints about it not being on topic are, in fact, off topic.

The only one derailing (perhaps provoked into doing so, but legitimately) this thread is you. Hate to say it, but that's the way it is. You don't want people to post 'spam'? Then complain privately to a moderator, don't defile your own topic by spamming it with counter-spam. Spammity spam.. where's that can. So you all can can it. Clear?

Thanks for informing the thread ;)

Your main reasons for supporting the EU seem to be borne, not out of some greater good argument about unity and brotherhood, but out of a self-interested desire to compete with the USA, Russia and China.....

It's both, and anyway, it's because I like Europe, and strong euro nations days are gone, and Europe needs to remain as an important entity in the scheme of world politics. So what better than uniting Euro nations to do so? We aren't annexing territories anymore, and this one seems to be sort of modern-acceptable similarity form. Considering also that countries aren't forced into it, but asked! :)

And asked under false pretences too, hardly a great way to start any kind of alliance.

As I said earlier, Maastricht was in 1992...UK joining was like 20 years before it. Not like EU changed a year after you joined (which would have meant it was really lieing for lieing). 20 years in history is nothing, but in a group that exists since 1958...it's alot. :)

Re: European Union take 2

regardless of how far apart the UK joining and this Maastricht accord are, the UK made their conditions clear for joining, they hadnt changed this, then Maastricht was brought in? it shows a lack of consideration on behalf of the EU.
