I'll guess two mothershipz..

Great. A "Living" Mothership, now not only will I constantly be dissapointed in the 'size' of my Mothership, I have to feed it, bath it, shave it (mine is an overly Hairy MS...), and clean up after it.

Affy's Neighbor: "Hey Affy, your MS just took a DUMP in my yard!!"

Affy: "So??"

Affy's Neighbor: "Well, come clean this 'Kikaz' up off my grass..."

Disgruntled, Affy grabs a plastic bag and a shovel and walks slowly to the neighbor's yard, grabbing the shovel tightly in one hand he quickly scoops and flips the little MS organic remnants into the bag.

Walking dejectingly back to his side of the fence, Affy decides to go out back and recycle the MS particles to complete the "circle of universal Q life". He walks to the three tombstones poised in silence in the back yard, peers respectfully at the headstones stopping for a brief moment to gaze with admiration at the writing on the three:

R.I.P. Lord Apogryph - Pussed out of next Q Era. Not enough time...
R.I.P. Slugworth "Hollywood" Assrot - Too meak to compete...
R.I.P. Kikaz - No one has heard from him in ages, believed to be dead??

Affy walks to the third tombstone, pulls out a black Sharpie permanent marker, with a mediumfine point and writes a quick message:

Kikaz is NOT dead!! Q universe OWNED. May 17th, 2009!!!

Chuckling at the interesting turn of events, Affy digs a quick little hole, and plops the organic matter to the ground into the empty grave where the legendary leader of the Owned Alliance was previously believed to rest. Holding back the tears, Affy goes to find a "switch" by which to punish his naughty little MS...

Long ago, all the races developed their motherships to extents never seen in other quantumverses. They became more and more powerful, eventually destroying virtually all of the planets in the galaxy, either directly or from consequence of epic fleet battles close by.
While this was happening the populations of the remaining worlds fled to ships. Over time, the ships got larger and larger (and stronger and stronger), using the remains of planets to both fuel themselves and to grow in size and power.
But life is short. Thus inefficient. Thus a disadvantage. So over time, each race developed ways in which the mind could interact directly with the ships. Consciousness was still required - a thinking ship was a powerful thing - and more consciousness infused into the ship meant more control over each small aspect of operation and battle.
So it came to be that the founding races and their now world-sized ships became synonymous.
This quantumverse is populated with the most advanced and huge ... WorldShips ... ever seen, run by a fusion of consciousness into the ship components. Even their small craft - the Capital Ship - is massive compared to other verses....
