my random typings may be of help (before i noticed the template request)
[spoiler]anyway, dimensions MUST be EQUAL height and Width.
PNG format preferrably, NO ANIMATION. image itself to be about 400x400 or bigger. im a sucker for having whatever pic larger so i can use it in more than one place.
Color scheme: im not sure here, i prefer a natural tone if working with a person/animal, however it's really up to you. i do like my blue color, or a warm-ish orange-ish hue..... but the blues im getting bored of, and i havent played too much with the warm colors.....
mustnt have username on it, for the same reasons as the overly large size.
content: Totally up to the artist. though i prefer to stay away from video game characters other than lesser known characters.... (like Hakha from Killzone 1, though ive already RP'd his character to death elsewhere so NOT him
