u cant have the tolan, cause their kinda with tauri (whose best defense weapon is the ION CANNON)

It has also been suggested that there is a free jaffa race, a retu race, and a separate tokra race (this race would appear as goauld to all others but themselves or something like that)

haw about subdivisions of races.....i saw someting like this sugested befor.......
gould shoud have tokra,jafa...or any other
asgard shoud have peacemakers , replicator destroiers
relicators shoud have infectors , attack replicators
tauri shoud have sabotagers , attackers
the names just come up...so dont mind them...wath i was tring to say is split the races in 2......with the same armory and race bonuses but with other names......that way every player shoud include himself in the corect category for his race....u know someting like the thing u ware destend to become...

But seriously, lets take a look at the potentials and see which is best suited. We want a race that we know a bit about, and has some known ships/technology that can be used for the game.
1. Wraith. Lots of stuff as seen in atlantis. Probably the easiest to port into the game. Stunners, Darts, Hiveships, Cruisers, Culling beams, lots of stuff to work with.
2. Ancients. They have a ton of stuff that we know about, however there is a big problem: They are freaking godlike, they would be wayy unbalancing.
3. Nox. Ultra pacifists. Wouldn't be much fun in a wargame. The game related things we could use would be their cloaking ability, their city and their ritual of life. Not enough to go on i think.
4. Tok'ra. They could be worked into the game easily enough methinks, but they would be too similar to the Goa'uld in my opinion, being the same species. I think new races should not be offshoots of those already in the game.

has anyone ever heard of the furlings?
i use that as the name of my officer group i thought someone would have ripped it by now but i guess not, woud they be a good race (if we ever hear somethig about them)?

I have said this so many times i dont think this is going to happen. Like i said on another post to add more races will take a lot of hard work and Forum proberly doesnt have the time. But he could put in an option where you can change race. Say you are a Asgard and want to be a Wraith. Then just click on Wraith on the click bar thing and there you go easy. There would have to be a limit on it tho so you cant change race every day.

We know alot more about the Wraith than most of the other possibilities. We probably know more about the Wraith than we do about the Asgard, and the Asgard are already in the game.
As for the Nox, if they were somehow selected to be put in the game, i don't think you would get weapons. The Nox don't fight, they defend themselves through deception alone. If they were added, they would have to revolve soley around deception/covert/defense and utterly lack an offense. Maybe have them completely invisible to other players that are not within 1 or 2 spy levels of the Nox player in question. The only way i would see them gaining Naq is earning it with their troops. What fun is not bashing some skulls in?
