The swastika, was a sign of the Nazi's Yes.

But, before then, it was used in countless religions, such as indian based, native american based, Heck, it was even used in Buddhism.

Now, if it was the Nazi Flag, that would be one thing. But, if its just the swastika, you cant really tell.

Regardless of the origins of a symbol, of which I'm aware, I don't think it can be contested that the image has now come to be associated with the Nazi regime who took it as their icon. It's a image which I personally would advocate taking a zero-tolerance stance on.

agreed, its not the history of the image, but what people relate with the image and that is the nazi regime and the massacare of millions of people.

The image has now been removed so case closed.

I see no evidence of PoD using the image to insult or offend people. He created a thread asking opinions on it.

I'm not defending the image or what it represents. I understand why people may be offended by it and I don't think it should be an image that is allowed on these forums. However, there's too much stress in this world (and too much of it relates to the past, over which we had NO control). Block the image (if it was still there), add him to your foe list if you so wish, but why create so much unnecessary stress where stress is not needed.

If it is stressing you out then the only person letting it stress you out is yourself. I ignore the image. If PoD wants to be the kind of person that displays that then so be it, I will personally just ignore and block the image. That doesn't mean you all have the right to go round calling him names.

Basically, ignore and block = no stress.

And again, you are the one's stressing about it, and stress is really not needed.

I would like to offically bring it to the attention of the forum that there is a member that is displaying symbols of Nazism.

I would also like to refer you to the Strafgesetzbuch and in particular:

§ 86 StGB Dissemination of Means of Propaganda of Unconstitutional Organizations

I am writing like that, so that people of authority on this forum ARE AWARE of it's being there. Look up yahoo and the displaying of such symbols.

Furthermore to that, given the support that I have had from many members of the community, I will also be asking them to post their name to a petition for the offending member to be removed.

This has gone on long enough, and the debate is more harmful as good.
I suggest to all of you to read up on Luke 6:42 if you have a Bible, or ask a friend whether they know what it says (or be a bum and google it).
