Re: Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.
I don't know, the last books got a little confusing, just a little rushed, I hope it doesn't affect the last movie. I guess the ending of half blood seemed rushed, but sad.

Re: Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.
Major spoilers below:
I think the overwhelming feeling I had was disappointment after watching it.....
From a stand-alone film perspective, it seemed like a collection of rushed, disparate scenes thrown together, pushing onwards to a climax that left you wanting a lot more.....I'd imagine people who haven't read the books will be confused throughout.
From a book perspective, I appreciate you have to make changes to a different format and whatnot, but some of the changes just take the heart out of the story. Where is the battle at the end? Infact, where are Neville and Luna fullstop? (Luna appears three times maybe, Neville once at the very end, not even a speaking role I don't think). No Dumbledore funeral??!!! The ending was such an anti-climax! Where was the need for making up the whole Burrow scene??!! Not only does that have a major knock-on for the start of the next film, but the screentime could have been better used to beef up the ending.....put in a proper fight scene, give one of the major characters of recent literature a decent send-off....
Why change something if it makes things worse?! Overall, I couldn't help but feel disappointed.....
Re: Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.
The books are loads better however I seem to be in the minority in that I really enjoyed the film. The films seem to have got got slightly better each time and except the pointless made up Burrow destroying scene it was quite enjoyable, can't wait for the last two films.
It was worth it just for Luna - "I sleepwalk, that's why I wear shoes to bed" LMAO - Jim Broadbent as Slughorn was inspired casting - and Snape, the bit at the party when he didn't even answer Harry's question, just looked at him like he smelt poop then walked away, class!
Re: Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.
I agree with replimagni.
They could have easily extended it 30mins to bump it to 3hrs and get in the fight scenes, a funeral and the missing history and add in some extra time to further develop the bond between harry and dumbledore. People would have watched it at that length. They watched LOTR, POC III and Titanic.. they'd have watched HP and they'd have loved the film a lot more if that care and extra time had been taken.
It was a disappointment.
It's pretty much the HP answer to Quantum of Solace. Another messy plot anti climax.
on the positive Daniel Radcliff's and Emma Watson's acting ability was, in my opinion, for the first time truly on top form. Slughorn was cast and played very well.. and Gambon reprised the role of Dumbledore superbly. Special mention to Draco's portrayal too.. but I was disappointed once again by a serious fall on the part of Lupin.. who played a far larger role in the books.. especially after Sirius' death. I liked the character and well.. the actor was born in the same town as me.
Blackpool ftw!
For a film that is supposedly filled with magic.. i think that's exactly what this one missed - the magic.

Yeah i've heard that too. Hopefully that will be a good thing though, Because i think if they try and make it into 1 film it'll end up as the worst one of the lot. I haven't heard of anyone who read the books liking the film. It was done terribly and I haven't even bothered to watch past the burrow scene. I just got confused as to why it was in the film

The no funeral part ruined it IMO.
Quotes
Meanwhile in MaYHeM
I rise up at night
I live just inside you
And give you a terrible fright
I walk through the darkness
I lurk under your bed
I live in your wardrobe
I creep up in the shed.
I tiptoe through the corridor
I follow you anywhere
I rip your braveness apart
And never ever care
I am fear so don't come near..
