Question about Planets

I haven't played this game in well over 3+ years.

Back then, I remember people complaining about someone stealing their planet and then ascending with them not knowing who did it. Is this still possible? Can beacons still detect this type of problem if it still persists?

All fixed now.

A button pops up on the attack log page to retake your planet. Then they can't re-take it for 12 (might be 24) hours.

Also when ascending the attack logs do not disappear anymore.
