do you think corporal punishment should be brouht back in to socity or not i am torn bwteen the answer becuase the kids today get away with murder at school and at home these days, they think so what they cant do anything but yer send me home i get the day off, tell my mum what she gunna do.
with corporal punishment they wont be like that they will fear missbehaveing and might do some work for once but it hitting a child or teenager is it wrong or not im torn.

corporal punishment that takes the form of actually beating someone isnt effective however you'll find that old UK army discipline program work wonders.

Mostly the ones i'm talking about are the utterly pointless ones that just waste the time of the offender like painting the coal from a full coal bunker with white paint.

Those work wonders, however these really shouldnt be a first line punishment. As said its best to try and have some communication first.

with corporal punishment comes the risk of abuse. who has the power to beat someone? to what extent?

its far better to punish by denial and menial tasks. naughty child? cut off their tv and internet. still naughty? send them to work hard.

I think sometimes its not just the application, but the position of the problem that makes punishment especially the emotive position. I agree with you kids these days go too far, but in the full swing in the days of corporal punishment I think it was over applies and mis-used. My opinion is that as soon as a weapon is applied its is just too far damage or brain damage is not going to help and never hitting the head. My issue is when most people use corporal punishment it is out of anger and all you teach is to be physical about anger, not the best solution. While in part I think corporal punishment has a use but a limited one. If you use it all the time it becomes redundant, but in rare occasions has a more heavy impact and should only be used in specific occasions. In an answer to your question I think it is wrong not to guide and assist your child to the best of you ability I dont think hitting is wise but in certain circumstances I can see the benifit, but never out of anger..

I beleive we have progressed to a point where chains and wips have been moved into the bedroom. Not meant to braze the backs or shackle the legs of our youth.

They can be reasoned with, but there is a majority of lazy selfish people driven on a consumer-me mentality to lazy to properly raise there own children. They would rather indulge in introspective **Filtered** and prefer passing the buck along.

This is where your idea comes in. Because it is harder to teach a child to fish then beat him because he is doing it wrong.
