I would like to continue to press this suggestion with the admin...a few more comments for or against would be useful.

Suggestion re the battling process. Dunno if this would work, but give both accounts a level footing, or a % of what they have atm. I suggest this for 2 reasons

1) As stated about not being able to de-ascend people, if (for example, only 2 people can battle at a time, THE ONE, and the challenger) they were given like new accounts, or copy of their accounts with only like 15% of their stats, it would allow for de-ascension, and a more interesting/fair battle

2) Having them with similar/same accounts to start with, would make it a war of skill (or available time) as opposed to a slog-fest where neither can be taken down

I dont want to pick apart your suggestions Sarevok...but putting each of them on an equal playing field would only benefit the one that has more time to spend in the game or the player that has the optimal ability to keep to a schedule. Neither would show a player worthy of being "The One".

Now I say this selfishly...I would not want someone who has put very little effort into his/her ascended account to be on an equal playing field with someone who has spent a great deal of time building his/her power.

My suggested TOC multiplier would address your concern of makeing everyone descendable...while still encouraging game play (as you would still need a base TOC and would need to earn the multiplier through GR or LFC)

Fair enough, but in reality, he whom has the most time to stratagise/battle would win anyway. It's how the game is done as is. If i can get online and raid for 2 hours, and my mate can only get on for 1 hour, whom will be growing the fastest assuming similar raiding styles.

If your TOC multiplier is similar to what i said about getting a specified % of what they have, I'm happy as it is

Heres my idea: The Ascended Council

There would be 10 spots available. The first 10 accounts would be chosen at random, from the top 50 ranks on the ascended server.

The ascended council ranks will automatically take up the first 10 spots on the ascended ranking page.

Rank 1 "The One" : Gets the ascended title "The One", Main account stats +25% on top of ascended bonuses.

Rank 2: Main account stats +20% on top of ascended bonuses.
Rank 3: Main account stats +20% on top of ascended bonuses.
Rank 4: Main account stats +18% on top of ascended bonuses.
Rank 5: Main account stats +16% on top of ascended bonuses.
Rank 6: Main account stats +14% on top of ascended bonuses.
Rank 7: Main account stats +12% on top of ascended bonuses.
Rank 8: Main account stats +10% on top of ascended bonuses.
Rank 9: Main account stats +8% on top of ascended bonuses.
Rank 10: Main account stats +6% on top of ascended bonuses.

The ascended council is a group with power, but not necessarily united.

Rules:
-If the member of a council is descended, the attacker takes his/her place.
-Members of the ascended council cannot attempt to descend one another.
-There is no time limit that an account can hold a council position.
-A council member is unable to vacation their account.
-If "The One" becomes descended, they cannot become "The One" again for 60 days

Not bad, i have a floor i think with that. If you manage to take out rank10, but decide you want like rank 5, do you need to be de-ascended(so your outta the council), then wait the 2 weeks, then attempt on the rank 5 person?

Well my thinking is that once this has been out for a bit and the positions settle in, a rank 5 council member's ascended account would be stronger than rank 10. So it may not be as easy as saying "oh i want to change my rank a bit". These positions should be difficult to attain. But if one wanted to attempt a higher position, they would have to be relieved from their current position first.

I just think that without more than 1 position, its very limiting to who can attain that position. Good luck ever descending him

The bonuses can be tweaked, those arnt set percentages.

I think this will just turn out like the ascended super weapon to some extent.
