i had this idea that might get ppl to start buying those cheap weps but ehre goes anyway
Instead of having 1000 of all the best weps
if u diverse ur weps more damage goes to the lower grade weps instead of the higher grade weps might save a bit of ash in the long run.
We all know the cheap weps go into battle first and the more expensive are behind.
so what do u guys think
Getting ppl to buy lower grade weps

Another reason to buy lower grade weapons
They insulate your better weapons from sabotage, because the smallest ones are hit first. If your Covert levels aren't high enough to prevent damage, you may as well lose something you don't much care about.
Also, keeping and maintaining lesser weapons is cheaper that 3M Naq (and up) for another Covert level.
But yeah, the maintenence costs for the lesser weapons are really high, compared to what they dish out. Would be interesting to see a battle of 2000 little weapons versus 2 biggies, but there is absolutely no incentive to even attempt to arm one's entire army.
What if some sort of morale check were put in - that unarmed troops (especially mercenaries!) were givan a %age to not participate in a battle, and possibly even leave the player altogether?

Nice idea. But I see a little problem. The mercs that have no weapon didn't contribute that much in the first place so you wouldn't miss them. The morale would have to apply to your entire army.

As soon as you build an idiot proof system, somebody else builds a better idiot.
If it moves, kill it. If it doesn't move, kick it until it does move, and then kill it.

OK, OK, I've played with it a bit, but the idea remains the same in essence.
