You can have up to 10 planets

You can actually have 11, buy sending your MS out, creating a planet, and hope that the MS will bring back a planet...

Mormegil wrote:there are 5 types; Attack, Defense, Income, Unit Production, Covert/Anti-Covert. They add up to 50% bonus to your raw stat so if you for example your Unit Production was 100,000 and you had a 60,000 UP planet it would add 50,000 UP to your total.

Not necessarily true, they can also 'spread' across other planets... i.e. If you had a 100k raw, and a 100k UP planet, and a 1k UP planet, your total would be 200k, as 49k UP from the 100k UP planet will 'spread' onto the 1k UP planet. Thus, why some people have a massive planet which they perm-MPDSD, and have several planets which aren't worth taking to 'spread it out'

Mormegil wrote:There are also "Dual" planets which is one planet but adds two bonuses, for example an Attack/Defense Dual, you upgrade each stat on the planet separately (The only type of Dual that doesn't exist is an Income/UP Dual). You can also add defenses to your planets to a maximum depending on the size to defend against other people stealing your planets.

Income/UP duals exist, you just can't make them anymore...

Mormegil wrote:Planet size can be upgraded for Naq the good side of upgrading is it's cheaper to upgrade your planets stat bonus, but it costs more to put defenses on the planets. A give and take.

Thus it is more economical to start off with smaller planets and slowly build them up...

Mormegil wrote:Also you can add days of "MPDSD" to your planets which makes them invisible to everyone but yourself, protecting them, they still act normally and add a bonus but cannot be stolen as long as you have days of MPDSD active on it. You can get MPDSD by buying Supporter Packages with $$$, Ascending, or using your Market Turns to trade for some, 1 MT for 3 days.

Also, remember that once MPDSD'd, you cannot take them off MPDSD... So putting a year's worth of MPDSD on a planet might not be the best of ideas :/

Mormegil wrote:Lastly... you can attach "Beacons" to your planets so that if someone steals it, at a later time you can activate said beacon and it's location will be revealed to you so that you may re-take it. If it's in space (abandoned) then I believe sending your MS out will find that planet after activating the beacon, not 100% on that one though. You can add as many beacons as you want to a planet there is no limit.

Usually, 1 beacon will not be enough. I was taught to put atleast 5 beacons on planets I like :P

JohnnyHotsauce wrote:How do I get one?
You can get a Planet by stealing one from another person using the "Conquer Planet" option from their page and choosing the planet you wish to attack, your Fleet Power must be greater than their defensive power for you to steal it, but you can mass their defenses down if your fleets are weaker. You can also trade MT's for a planet, it will be small and not very good though. Thirdly you can send your Mothership out to search for an abandoned planet, the planet could be very good or very bad, it depends. You can send your Mothership out every 24 hours, but it won't find a planet every trip. Lastly you can pay $50 and buy a Dual planet from the in-game Market.

Remember, that your fleet power has to be more than 15% of the planet's def, or else your fleets will be wiped out instantly (which can be quite costly)... So you should be careful if they platform their planets, as it can mean insta-death for your fleets.

JohnnyHotsauce wrote:I just bought a platform, what does it do?
You can add defenses to your Platform and attach it to a planet you want it to orbit and defend. Most of the time this is much cheaper than adding the defenses to the planet, and can surprise any person attacking the planet because it won't show the Platform orbiting the planet when they spy you. They can be massed down normally like planet defenses, you should really only use one on a Planet you wish to keep, you only get 3. They can be rebuilt and such.

Remember, you can assign more than 1 platform to a planet.

JohnnyHotsauce wrote:What is this "Pergatory" and why is it spelled like that?
You'd have to ask Jason, game creator, about the spelling. Pergatory is an alternate realm you can "shift" in to, there are many less active players, use of ATs is limited and many other functions are not available. Upon entrance all your ATs are converted to UU/Naq (can't really remember specifics here) and it costs a certain amount to leave and enter, so if you go in it takes a few days of AT generation to leave again. Also you have to be under a certain size to enter, I think about 40mil, and once you reach a certain size you must leave, about 50-60mil I think.

Personal ATs are not affected. Generic ATs are (The ones you exchange naq/uu at the market are generic, the ones where you trade 3MTs for ~2k are personal).
The ATs are converted to naq at the game market rate which is 120 ATs for 5.16bil naq (NOT worth it!)
It takes 720 (generic) ATs to leave perg. So, once in perg, you're stuck there for about 5 days.
You cannot enter perg if your armysize is above 44.8mil. And you get kicked at about 60mil.

NOTE: You can only use 60ATs on one person per 24 hours in Perg. Meaning, it is virtually impossible to mass someone unless you have multiple people helping you... It also makes it harder to farm, and to raid.

NOTE: You can only enter perg if you haven't attacked/sabbed/raided someone in the past 24 hours. This was to prevent the hit&run attacks on people in normal who are too big to enter perg.

Mormegil wrote:It was made for smaller players to go in and grow without the huge army sized players attacking them and making it hard for them to grow. In my and most other peoples opinions, it sucks.

Perg was also made for people who don't have the time to play SGW everyday - Perg is just a slower version of Normal Reality.

I addressed that earlier in my post, it is searching for an abandoned planet out in space.

If someone takes one of your planets and abandons it, sending your MS out will probably find it. According to the game updates section.

Sorry but that's wrong, I know because I tried to sell a location of one a few months back. You can't buy one from Jason with $$ but they are out there.

I believe there are also nil stat planets out there. Some mad nutter tried to collect 10 of them a while back. It generated the one of the best forum quotes I have ever seen with the question posed "did someone drop your noob account on its head when it was little?" I thought that was a cracker.

There's another planet acquiring option missed by Morgemil, for the lazy people out there who don't wish to sift through 1000's of accounts you can buy planets with naq/uu etc if you go to the forum market

There ARE planets without ANY stats, there are also rumours to be planets will 3 stats on them. And yes, I also know someone who has one of them income/UP duals.

Mormegil wrote:Phew, I hope that answers all your questions posted, if not feel free to ask more and I am sure someone will answer them, as will I try to. :-D

Re: What Is This, How Do I That & Why Did I Do It

This thread shows that the game has gotten way too complicated. (And it's only discussing planets and purg!)

Good effort Morgemil, I feel bad that it's getting picked apart, added to, adjusted, flipped around; but it backs up what I just said. Things are getting way to complicated for the average noob.

Haha, thanks, well it'd be pretty hard for one person to get it all, because like you said it's getting somewhat complicated ](*,)
