not really, "random" massings. i dnt have a specific reason for each person. thus it is random.

im fine with it when its not one of those 300mill army player masses the 1 million unascended nooby and such. yes its a war game but when your driving away the new players for the sake of your fun its no longer playing the game its stopping its growth.


But like i said im fine with it. I get massed all the time and if you get worked up over it it just gets worse. go with the flow.

I must say I don't like the idea of massing someone just for the sake of it. I do appreciate the fact that this is a "war game" and massings are a part of this game, but massing someone for reasons other than war, persistant (or one hit, depending on Alliance Policy) farming or protection of an officer/ friend, means that players should find themselves another hobby. Oh yeah I'll be off PPT Monday morning GMT if you want ot mass me for my opinion.
I also think that anyone who masses should have the courtesy to reply to PMs asking for reasons for the massing. I think failure to do that shows the player's true personality. Let not forget that we are all playing a game here.

My philosophy is simple. Resources are finite. Even in this day and age.

Therefore those resources that I have, I would rather not lose through massing. Unless of course the cause is justified. There comes a point where the line has to be drawn. We build stats so that we can use them when it is needed. I will not sit idolly by whilst myself and my friends are attacked.

It is a philosophy that most of TÅF share and have always shared. Of course some of us draw the line in different places. But as a general rule, there must always be a significant reason for a massing to take place.

I usually just mass, and make up a reason later if they choose to message me about it...

If I'm bored enough I'll scroll through Incoming alliance logs, pick someone, skip them completely, mass the biggest stats in his/her alliance or his/her highest ranked officer, or his/her commander.

Sometimes I'll mass the highest ranked in our incoming logs...

Sometimes I'll mass the weirdest name in our logs..

Sometimes I'll mass just For the Lulz.

Sometimes I'll mass for a post on forums.

Sometimes I'll mass just to provoke a war...

And almost all the time, I get massed back for it.
