Fortifications and Siege Levels

For the goa'uld and replicators is the fortification bonuses higher than the siege level bonuses

I don't know about replicators but we gaould have 2 seige levels and 2 fortifcation levels .and the bounses are about the same

Replicators do only have 2 levels of each but when I have equal amount of trained units and weapons my defense is higher and I was wondering if the the fortifications gave higher bonuses

u have 100% better fortification and (only) 66% better siege level.

I have a question concirning this matter.. How can some Tauri have a higher fortification then me? I have the underground base (the highest fortification a tauri can get) but I've seen a couple Tauri with fortifications that I've never seen before. I thought it would just be unit #, but I have over 2500 units now, and their isn't any more fortifications left.
