chaos doesnt bear much of any resemblance to main any longer... (and we're working on getting hephaestus and virgil to make it completely different from sgaw too)

some of the things being worked on for chaos are shall we say, chaotic...
they involve a lot of random events and things that dont work the way they normally would...

urm, just out of curiosity, why are you asking this now then? is it so if someone suggests something really good, then you may be able to suggest it to virgil and co as something to make it better, or is it to see what should be kept?

honestly i kind of miss the old version of chaos, compared to the new one.

I remember when the new chaosgate came out, and everyone that had SS on the previous server wondered about what would happen, and the new guy that was running basically said its not our concern we dont owe you anything, that was the old game, from there it was fairly clear how things where going to work out for CGW, it was going to sink, (maybe a new person now)

I deleted my account on there and blocked the chaos part of the forums and never looked back, how many people even play that game now.

If you wanted to really sum it up, Origins is the same, had great potential, then some people who where throwing the $$ at it, wanted stupid updates, to suit there game style, everyone else got screwed and and and ta da, dead game now.

...you gave me the idea of a "risk" type game where a universe is drawn up, ever expanding or never ending(depends how you think) and each player has a sector or star system w/e...

It was easier to learn than the new one was. You would only have to adapt to the unique tech or unit in each new wave, which was enjoyable enough. I was comfortable with it since it had similar menus/screens to main. I'm probably only speaking for myself here, but I don't have time to learn a whole new system with multiple resources, etc - but a lot of people are probably looking for something new like that.

I dont like or play games that reset. One advantage for those of us who work and have families is that we know we can not win outright quickly, we can't spend 8 hrs a day infront of a PC farming/raiding/makeing alliance progress, etc, etc, etc,. Many of us strive by pretty much outlasting our opponents, or buy the tourtise and the hair stratagy. Speed player come and go, grow quickly and cause massive uproars, but often the slow but steady account can overcome them in time. After all it is a strategy game, even if jason has killed every last drop of stratagy in it, and it is about growth, resetables and non resetables.

Me personally? nothing can.
1. its a resetable
2. even if it changed now, I still would not play because of the actions, or lack there of, on admins behalf.
3. Its just not my type of game, I tryed a wave and generally didnt like it. If its still like SGAW I left that game as well because it just wasnt my type of game.

Last wave I joined in on I spent most of my time trying to work out what I needed and how I got that.... It seemed to have become far too complicated for a resettable game., you want simple surly? Quick and easy to get into and job done, last I looked I thought, what the hell is this? And quit. I play main I played Q on 2 or 3 occasions and I never last at that, I don't have the time to also play a wave based game and do anything but get left behind, so I decided not to bother playing them.
