Well if he does get Jason to fix the game..then fair play to him..because no one else has gotten him to fix the game...and how many tried?

Problem is that people's definition of "fixing the game" varies from person to person. What may seem a "fix" to one person may be a bad move for another.

Example, I managed to get Jason to fix the age old Goa'uld double income bug. For some people that being rectified fixed the game to a certain extent. So no-one can say that no-one has actually got Admin to do something that fixes the game to a certain extent.

i dont see how this is exactly going to change the game for us. its kinda falling apart not only by the admin running it, but also i see many new players trying to give the game ago, but realizing that they start with next to nothing and have to try and come up from nothing in a game where the bigger keep getting bigger seems like impossible odds. but i guess thats what perg is for.

A move of date actually works better! This way I can reserve the 5th for something better. So then... meet me on the friday instead!

On a further point I think a lot of people have OVERestimated what I wanted to do here. I don't want to try and impose radical changes on jason, or give him an irrefutable ultimatum to make him change the course of everything. We have seen in the past doing so does not work.

We need to take baby steps towards different goals. Firstly we need to get his attention back to the game properly. Then it's getting him to address his unfinished projects one at a time (alliance bank, new ascension updates, attack/defence) and then we can hopefully start working together to get him to move the game in a direction that benefits everyone more.

Although this will only be done by a strong presence of the games 'stakeholders'.

@ Clarkey... I am not so selfish as to do this just for some sort of glory I don't see lol. It's not as if I need more attention/fame in this game is it? Really? If I am to be stuck here for another 9months or so then I want to do something with that time.

@ schuesseled. Do you play the game? You tell me sir, how to win a war? Or.. what became of the alliance bank system? Why the defence/attack system is still messed up? How often do you see the games admin show any general interest in his internet based ATM other than the 1 hour a week at these general fruitless admin meets where every player has to talk to a brick wall.

@ Universe. For someone who rarely stands by good rational I hardly think it best for you to start judging my motives until you at least have some true sense of your own. I don't want to eradicate the game..that would be a little contradictory from my other post trying to add in a new role play and I presume you got that intention from V's destruction of parliament. V wanted to change a corrupt and immoral system by removing a symbol of that system. I do too. I don't want to destroy SGW... we all know I have two reasons to be here.. and two reasons a lone and those reasons become forfeit in June.

I just want to change the admins perspective of it.. or find a way to bring him back so this game can go forward again instead of back. Nothing too radical for now.

I do enjoy your assessment though. Play it both ways so you can try and get an upper hand by being right? You're a fool my dear to echo those sentiments at me....there are few more feeble minded individuals here than yourself, though you have never claimed contrary to that point... such a contradiction is irrelevant. I would say I'm neutral about that all...we'll see how it goes this friday on irc! I think ascended server needs more caring than main, because of bugs related to vacation in ascended<->main, and godquest main worshipper issues.

Hmm.... Don't care. When you stop being everything I listed in my previous post I might take notice of your opinions on character depth, performance and putting on a show...but your current and previous displays indicate you have little idea of what those values/concepts are.


Moving on.. to what happened!

Well I spoke to Jason as I said I would.. (rousing support came in the form of no one - SHOCK HORROR)

Erm.. basically.. (apparently) he's going to try and be more active.. he's looking into some changes to the MS system like I have suggested.. he's going to update the development server with the new updates next week.. and he said that if I had anymore ideas he might be willing to work with me and make a new server/realm (two different things I know.. but I cannot remember what he said..)

We'll believe it when it happens, but in the end I stuck to my word.
In response to me posting in here before I said I WOULD... well I honestly thought the amount of work I had would keep me away, it did not and I was able to post and reply..so that answers your question Clarkey... let's not forget how it's not illegal to post.

For some reason I'm being quite skeptical regarding quality of those upcoming updates..
If I didn't have problems with installing my msn (forced update) I would probably have remembered about this admin meeting and screamed every time I would see "good updates" suggestions and not good good updates suggestions.
