Sounds like a new step to me ,

But Rhett , how can you know if it was a random mass ?

For example , someone in the OE empire masses someone and say's to you he "offended me" while the poor sob didn't do a thing.

It sounds great tho I do believe lots will follow you're law's as it shud be but completly provoking a random mass might be abit harder...


Tho 1 more qeustion , does a Naq hit also include to an aggresive response ? do u have the policy ? "build a defence if you want to keep you're income".

I have many sources mate! In my personal opinion, I honestly think ME has been bad for the game. It encourages people to mass anyone just for more ME. And as for naq hits, THAT is provocation. lol But I do believe if someone builds a defence, they keep their naq, as long as they aren't silly enough to leave loads out there for raiding.

The Educators believed in massing anyone with a big defence to miner ratio, even people no one had even heard of, who just played the game in their own little way. It's those players that are to be protected. If someone is in an alliance, there is usually some provocation, even if not by the massed people themselves.

To answer people's questions about DDE, while they and we do play the role of the 'evil' empires, they are great guys..and ladies to hang around with. Yes they war alot! But so what! What they don't do is bully alliances. REKha and I have known each other for a long long time and we are usually of a like mind. DDE have their honour AND My respect.

And Lithium, to answer ur question about vendettas. Omega started them! Just ask Jay6669 and SC Thor, they broke a NAP and attacked me when I ascended, thinking I was weak. Within minutes I massed them both and they were among the top 10 most powerful accounts ingame. Just ask Nebulator! I could go on..but not everything has to be about the server war.

Well , I couldn't agree with you more Rhett ... and many shud follow to make this game anew for players entering and have to learn the touch of the game !

thnx for the support everyone, it is unfortionate that you have moved the thread already dadigi since here it will draw less atention from ppl who need to know. i was hoping it woudl remain in general for a couple more days.

i understand the sceptisism that some of you have towards the OE and these new rules. it's not every day that the big bad omegan empire of the past anounces something like this. and given some dark parts in our empire history it miht seem unlikely that we will be able to ban random massing from our ranks.

but trust me, we will ban it with everything we got, we have a great strong crew who are dedicated to do what is best for our empire.

and the comments on DDE random massing, well get to know some of em there are truely great ppl there to, and some of em are realy more aproachable then they seem.

vendetta's are alowed, you do need a reason for it, plainly hating someone is a good reason. but vendettas have to be made public in the vendetta section

a while ago the omegan empire descided to ban random massings. we as an empire feel we need to keep pushing ourself to improve who we are as an empire.

in previous generations random massings were often seen as an act of power, those opinions have slowly been evolving to the point where we started seeing this as a lack of controle and a waste of rescourses. therefor OE will only mass when it has a reason to, wich are the obvious reasons:

- being in our logs
- offending/threatening our alliances
- picking fights with us
- vendettas
-...

now as it always there are problems when implementing new rules in an empire and it takes a while before they can be effectivly enforced and we are trying to work out the loopholes in our laws.

now for this we are asking the servers help becausse we got 1 problem:
you guys ain't complaining if one of us randomly masses you ! o.O

if ppl don't complain about it then we don't know our rules are being broken. therefor we ask you to report when one of our members breack our empire rules. ppl reporting it will not be harmed and any complaint will be investigated after wich a punishment might follow.

when you are randomly massed we ask you to contact the following ppl:

the ingame alliance leader
the OE diplomat: larsa (curently doing a tour around the empire)
OE 2IC: 1horseman

we prefere if you notify at least 2 ppl so it comes to our HC ASAP.

I'd like to say, well done.

Since i started playing many years ago, i remember the complex of Omega (mostly) had for me. Basically, don't go anywhere near them, or risk loosing it all.

The steps you guys have taken, are honorable, and though this won't change peoples attitudes, at least it'll slow the occurrence of random massing happening

Hi,

As requested by Redwolf I post this as the leader of Bromus Collective and after having several of my players massed by HooKoo2 I wish to make a request for repayment under the new Empire Law.

I am currently in Contact with Redwolf of Mayhem and Zeekomkommer of Pi in regards to this.

I have already provided all information that Bromus has in regards to the massings and have been advised by the above players that HooKoo2 massed my players for no legitimate cause.

I am currently compiling a list of damages to be given to Zeekomkommer, This will be given to him approx 24hours from this post.
