Then I have to disagree.
Its not like massing someone who is offline, if they can repair shields then they will take the same damage as the enemy assuming similiar MS's, for as long as both parities continue repairing.
And its not like you cant do anything, you can mass them in return, just wont affect their MS. Because you dont actually have one.
If you can only attack once per turn, then you will never beat the enemies shields on the MS because anybody can repair shields with ease if they get attacked only once per turn. Making the whole suggestion to stop abuse of Looking for planets useless.
They have to not be able to attack back in the method they are getting attacked because they have "sent their MS away" they dont get to use it, but they can build volleys/shields/slots all they want like you can currently.
Really getting your MS massed this way is no different to normal.
The only potential additional benefit to the attacker that the suggestion gives is this.
Normally to mass a MS, if you had lots of ATT supers they would get killed if the enemy had large defences. But as this battle takes place in deep space you are saved all these losses as well as Weapon damage saved.
But it is fair because the simple fact is normally you wouldnt be able to mass their MS, this way you can if they try to hide it. You can mass it and they can rebuild it as many times as you both like, but theirs little point them rebuilding it till it comes back to their realm as it will serve no purpose to them till then.

Yes well idea 1. is harsh on simply sending out, idea 2. is not.
If your simply sending MS out to planet search, then your not by default sending it out to protect it. Where as having your MS automatically 0'd coz it towed home a 100 mil attack planet is seriosuly unfair. Simply allowing people to mass you MS as if you had not sent it out is not unfair.
If you are sending out to find a planet and not to protect it from being massed then youll have no problem with it getting massed. As it would of happend had you not sent it out.

Bad Clarkey, this would mostly benefit the biggest MSs ( Most of which are in your Alliance/Empire ), getting them more cheap kills on smaller MSs that couldnt be sent out.
If you wanted to do this, it should apply to strikes, fleets and planets too, if a strike is used for massing, no ppt for 6 hours, if a planet is used for massing, no merlin for 6 hours, if a fleet is used to take a planet, no selling fleets or PPT for 6 hours. Even then I wouldnt agree with it, but at least it would be fairer

Um, how would it benefit larger MS?
From my view point, the advantages to SMALL MS are:
1) If massed, have 6 hours to attack back, and get alliance involved
2) Smaller MS if massed, have LESS to repair
The disadvantages for larger MS:
1) Can't run after massing people
2) Could loose more weapons etc, since can't defend it without PPT

I am actually for the heart of the idea, but against this version of it. This should be taken to ingame accounts on all levels. Not just MS. Your just singling out MS because no one carries stats anymore due to them being liabilities.

Would only be sat on for 6 hours, since after that you can send it out... And since the larger MS attacked them, they can't send theirs out either. So either they mass themselves, or basically leave them selves vulnerable all the time
