Pick the university that offers the best course, sod the rest of it. Trust me on this, the social stuff will come anyways if you look for it where ever you go.

Re: People from Britain (mainly england) i need your help.

Now it seems to me you have decided on what course you want to do, but before tendering your App to UCAS, i would suggest asking yourself the following question;

"What/Where will this get me?"

By that I mean what is your end game? There is no point in studying at degree level at something you cant do / dont like or something that wont get you something out of it (ie a research position or a job etc)

Always consider the end game, you need to get something out of this. Especially more so in your case than it was when I did mine as the fees are significantly higher now.

EDIT: I have no idea how old you are, but if you are at college (18/19 range) have you considered perhaps taking a deffered placement (ie a year out, you apply this year & they will guarantee you a place in the following years intake) ?? Something to consider perhaps

Re: People from Britain (mainly england) i need your help.

i've been considering a year out, but i've no money :P

also i've thought about my oppertunities and i'd possibly consider doing another course afterwards. and i'm currently only 17, 18 in march.

now i'm off to make my personal statement! :P

Re: People from Britain (mainly england) i need your help.

A year out doesnt mean you dont work you know. Any halfway decent Uni would expect you to have some plan on how you expected to spend you year out. Such as in the workplace or volunteering or some form of structured travel.

In short you would be expected to gain something from it.

For your personal statement, be as honest as you can be without compromising the whole 'sell yourself' idea. Do get others (as many as possible) to read it and to write their comments down (so print off lots of draft copies and let people make notes on them ;) )

Stick to facts (that is things you can prove & by prove i mean present evidence) if you make anything up a good interviewer will pick up on it. Also try not to say to many 'I' things, such as 'I can/have do/done' for example.

Feel free to PM me, if I can help I'll try too (noone helped me)

LoL... the name of that degree is an epic oxymoron. Psychology is in no way a social science.

The course involves sociology in addition, but precisely. It's expensive for the amount of tutoring we get too.
