combining attacks/defences

ok. i touched this on a different thread, but as i think it is worth a discussion by its own merit, as well as wanting to keep this discussion out of the other thread, let's hear your thoughts about the option to combine your attack/defence with that of another player for a limited amount of time (for battle purposes only. no change in player stats).

Attack abuse = nope...

Again, this would in essence mean, that defense would become less effective then their already almost uselessness as it is atm.

Now i know what people will say "But you can combine your defense to match it." Well, no, your wrong. Since the time period is limited, once the effect wares off, then your defense is by itself once again, and easily killed by combined attack forces. And also, unless both defenses are at least 3x larger then both attacks, the attackers will have an easier time then they do now, to kill even combined defenses, and kill 2 birds with 1 stone
