Actually, if you want to go into detail and kabbala numerology and all that...
666 is the number of the Sun, which is symbolic of life and warmth and love and all manner of things (too many for me to list off the top of my head).
616 is the often mistranslated number of the Beast, which is symbolic of the animalistic side of humanity (which doesn't use higher thinking and lives only by instinct and impulse feelings--like Lust) under which so many people are ruled now days (hence, why The Beast is a bad sign).
So, by default that means the computer is a good thing--a gift from God, even.

Your correction... is not quite correct. In fact... there are several interpretations of the number of the devil I do also believe 665 or even 655 or even 999 have been disputed to be the number. I am not certain but I seem to remember the Fry stating it's 665 on QI.
