Re: Does God exist?

yes, obviously yes.

the idea of god gives our life a meaning.. people who are non believing in anything, well they are sorta weird, dont you think?
they have no real meaning to their life.. i dont see their point in even being alive

Re: Does God exist?

lol and if God doesn't exist then what is the point in believing in something that doesn't exist? That is also just as meaningless.

Re: Does God exist?

clarkey, im sure you cant rule out the idea of god until science explains every possible thing that is not explainable as of yet, and till then god does exist.

In my mind God does not exist until it is 100% proven.
Religion (added to greed) only leads to wars.

Just because someone may not believe in god or religion doesn't mean they have a meanigless life. Life is to have fun whilst it lasts.

I'm sure there were people that believed in god/religion and died young... what was the point in their life? Well i'm sure there was a BIG point in their short life, but it probably had more to do with family and living for the moment than it did with some god.

lol that's quite a stupid thing to say really.
You see some people believe that a god exists and they will tell people that god does exist.
Some people believe that no god exists and they will tell people god doesn't exist.

Fact is neither side can prove it.
Fact is that neither side should enforce a belief.
SAD fact is people do enforce it on others.

Re: Does God exist?

Religion voids the gap that science cannot prove. I personally believe that god exists but i don't really have the patience for what religion says about god as it is personal to everyone.

As to the question, there is no way to find out if, just because you can't see something doesn't mean it doesn't exist. but can't be proven either.

Yes there is no way in this life time or any future life time to prove that any kind of god exists.

Therefore people should be able to live out their lives the way they personal want to.
Sadly the truth is that people cannot easily "believe" in what they "personally" want because there is always something that forces them to believe in something, i.e. family, or religion forces someone to believe in something that has not and never will be 100% proven and they force them to believe in it by bringing them to up to believe in it.

Exactly they can choose to believe in what they personally want to! If they want to have faith in god then let them. Yes some people arre "brainwashed" by family and friends but some people do it because they have to, or because they chose to. I don't think that is anyone's option to critisize.

If anyone tries to prove/disprove God exists I will laugh in their face.A god that can be measured, quantified, touched, seen and heard is not a god...

Exactly.
I don't believe in God or any kind of God.
I don't believe in Religion.

That does not mean at all that my life is meaningless.
It does not also mean that i have to explain how my life is meaningful just because someone that does believe in God thinks that someone that doesn't believe in God or Religion has no point to life.

I work, I go on holiday, I spend time with my family and friends. i have fun. All of that (well besides the work part [-( ) probably means just as much to me as god or religion means to someone else.

People may feel their life is meaningful because they believe in God, and that is their right. Just don't force the believe of god or question someone's point of life because they don't believe in God.

it does mean your life is meaningless. There is NO motivation whatsoever to LIVE.. nothing to live for.
After all your goals in life are accomplished, what is it that you will be trying to achieve? Nothing.. and without a goal, life is meaningless.

Dean Winchester wrote:People may feel their life is meaningful because they believe in God, and that is their right. Just don't force the believe of god or question someone's point of life because they don't believe in God.

we or at least I am not forcing anyone (if i was forcing someone, id be a hypocrite),.. im just stating my point and my belief. and to me, those that cant back themselves up are wrong.

science cant back it self up when it comes few mysteries and therefore its wrong.
god can, and therefore god exists. its as simple as that.
