i like how the scots always say they're from "scotland (uk)"

I'm beyond those considerations of "I am from England" or "I am from Scotland".

I don't see why they do that, and my post meant that. I meant that for me, all people born in UK are from UK (and on a larger extent European Union). I don't split them into regions subnations or whatever. Since I recognize UK as a real state. For me a group of two one born in Edimburg and other in Liverpool, both are from UK and EU. NOT from Scotland/England then UK.
be carefull. don't let the scots, welsh, basques, kurds, irish from the 6 counties and the likes know this cos they might mass ya

For me baques are either Spanish or French. Depending where they were born. They live here for sufficient time to be considered without any doubt as spanish or french. Northern Ireland I don't have same approach as I do for Wales/Scotland/England. I recognize northern Ireland is a specific issue. The rest of UK regions, though, are ALL UKers to me.
