Well not me. I found a character from mythology, rp'ed the character using SG fiction/myth information and created an environment i.e forum for like mined players who followed stargate and especially the goauld.

I joined just over 2 and 1/2 years ago and still keep the stargate feel so I must be the 0.01% somehwere as I am a stargate fanatic, I have a deep rooted passion to enslave and dominate earth and I like dressing up in strange outfits and my eyes glow, dang ...........wrong forum , errr just go about your business people nothing to see here

It's people like you (throughout your posts, roleplay and threads) who keep the stargateness alive of this game/forum and I must thank you for that!

but this site would have atleast a mil members if they bothered to advertise i litrally was looking for apc game for Stargate and stumbled accross SGW lol .

they should advertise more on some gaming sites.

because... i want to stay in war with FUALL (better said: in war with few players from FUALL). Thats my main reason. Of course, if war will end, i will stay in game to be ready and fight in next war against FUALL. Just, because its funnier than building stats. HaHaHa!

I started cause it was sg related, but I play cause I love MMORPGs in general.

But I am the ultimate Stargate geek, all movies, SG1, Atlantis, and SGU I have all eps and mini movies

I started as I was originally searching for stargate related stuff and found the game, so I started playing. I hadnt played an MMORPG or anything before almost all my online gaming life had been beating the living hell outta people on AvP (original).

I stayed cause I love playing the game and the majority of the community I have made some great friends and couldnt care less about it being SG related now. I played a few others... or tried and gave up because I was playing this one and didnt care about the others.

First I played SGW because it was SG oriented, then MGM came along and ruined it...

Exactly why I play SGW.

SG-1 is my favorite TV, and I wondered if there's any video games out there, so I've Googled Stargate Games (or some kind of similar search word) and tumbled onto this MMORPG.

Since it isn't really StarGate oriented anymore, I don't know why I stick around playing it.

This is one comment I don't really get.

I mean I started playing SGW because my mate at work told me about it and he had already joined. He joined because it was Stargate related and I joined also because it was Stargate related and the fact my mate was playing it. I was a really big fan of Stargate and I still am, just not as big as I once was.

But the game hasn't steered off course that much really, but just because it's not 100% Stargate orientated why would someone not play it anymore. I mean I don't really play anymore because of what the game is linked too, I play it because of all the people I have got to know that still play it.

I couldn't imagine anyone saying "oh they changed it off track from Stargate a little, not interested in playing anymore."

I started playing as I am a big Stargate fan. Was on some SG forum and met umm.... Laura_SG1_ I think - if anyone remembers that far back - she mentioned SGW I told my boyfriend who was on MSN at the time and we were like ooh what's this we can be Asgards or Replicators, we like this.

I still like SGW, because the same reason that I still play around with people that I have got to know, as well as meeting new players as well. and I do take note that there is a little hint of Stargate because of the weapons and units names are remained the same as well as the navigation panel.

I think I'm just getting a little bored of it since I've been playing SGW for around 3-4 Years straight, as well as not very similar to Stargate as it was before. (Really I was playing this that long?!?)
