Haiti Earthquake: Hundreds Feared Dead
Hundreds of people are feared dead after a huge earthquake rocked the Caribbean island of Haiti.
Buildings including hospitals, hotels, the World Bank and the presidential palace were destroyed in the largest quake to hit the area for 200 years.
Aid workers feared hundreds, even thousands, may have been killed in the disaster which measured 7.1 on the Richter scale.
It took just 60 seconds for the quake to destroy large parts of the capital Port-au-Prince, just 10 miles from the epicentre of the tremor.
The quake was described as a "catastrophe" and "a major disaster" by officials as rescue workers tried to reach victims buried in the rubble.
