GW needs more players ?

There's a total of 71,761 accounts and i think that the number of active accounts is around 3000 / max 4000. Am i right ?

So what can we do to get more players ?

10 000 active accounts sounds ... heavenly

I think that we all should spread the word about GateWars / We should post on every Stargate related forum about this game

We need to have some advertising on the internet

We can all encourage some of our nerdier friends to play. That's one option, and we could also consider trolling for recruits on various Stargate based websites and fan forums. As far as I can tell, there's still considerable interesting in the show itself.

That might be putting it a bit strongly. He still follows this place, as far as I can tell, and he cares enough to show his face at IRC meetings and converse with some of our more serpentine ex staff-members. SGW might have been put in the back burner, though, as he concentrates most of his energy into various other projects.

I'm kinda pissed 'cause the last game update was in Sept 2009 .

It can much be done just with this forum being more friendly and not so much of a reason to push people out of the game-apart from ingame-which lays on forum users shoulders with their behavior. It should be a start just to keep current players around.

As for bringing new people in, i have done it, but apparently there was an issue, them being my RL friends.

And there is happening around where some parties speak of inactivity due to events that has been lasting for quite some time, and speaking of it as achievement. Another reason to push people away, apparently, and consequently limiting possible new blood from their side.

All in all, i think this game spreads with words, from mouth to mouth-not literally-well, at least how i ended in here. There is a topic about this somewhere around here, which might give some guidance in this matter, how people joined it...

lets put this simply though, why would he change it.
he has a constant income as the three most important resources are buyable
if he pays for a host he' profiting but if he has his own server then he is seriously raking in the cash
