I've been far less active ingame and on the forums lately. I've been dealing with a sudden anxiety problem that's been freaking me out a little. RL events this evening didn't help....
I'm just plain sick and tired of the **Filtered** going on in my town.
I went for a walk this evening. I came down one main road to a five-way intersection. On the route I was planning to go, I saw 4 or 5 guys beating up some other dude. Not sure what the problem was, but when I reached for my mobile phone to call the Police I realised that I'd left it at home. There is a serious problem with alcohol-fueled (and bogan-fueled) violence in my town; especially gang-related attacks. After about 30secs I decided to take the next road over... the other side of the next road over. I sorta forgot that there is an alleyway connecting the two roads 50m before the intersection.
The next thing I know, the group appears 5m in front of me. They all seemed content to ignore me, except one. He goaded me and asked me what my problem was (all in a very belligerent '*Filtered*' sort of tone), but I'm probably the least antagonising person alive. With my hands palm-out down by my side, I said calmly that I had no problem and it was none of my business. So, this knob-stick took the opportunity to punch me in the temple. I got a split second to duck a little, but he still got me. If he was any closer or quicker he would have probably knocked me out.
I hate this town... people just go out and start fights for no reason, and then start going after everyone within half a kilometre of the fight they just finished.
I wanted to be a school teacher in this town. But a man like me, who will do anything to avoid getting in a fight, just can't function in a town where someone you don't even know will punch you in the face, unprovoked, while you're trying to back down.
**Filtered** me.... this is not good for my anxiety.

only one thing you can do when someone comes at you with violence on their mind and that is to put them down hard & fast.
This doesnt mean that you should be violent like they are, but you should take steps to be able to defend yourself and know several ways to incapacitate an attacker.
If your friendly with the local cops you might have a word with some of them and ask if they can recommend any classes in self defence, the police might even run their own classes for the public to attend.

Next time you should wear a pair of these gloves. http://www.trueswords.com/defense-glove ... -3077.html
I have a pair or you can buy yourself a stun gun.

go to the country in england.
I would suggest dorset or kent, being the only two counties i have lived in and myself never having seen much violence and having never been in a fight.
Come to Canterbury! it has me and rene(near) but unfortunately has Dudenoob The Baker as well

Move to Nuuk.
I'll join you. When we divert the Gulf stream away from those pesky isles and Europe, it might even become a pleasant place to live.
