24th/25th ascension ?

Jason did consider it for the 21st but then he changed his mind. I think it would be a good idea for the 25th ascension. Although it's another thing that can be abused.

also how many accended blessing techs should there be in total for an ancient god or the ori account?

The ascended blessing is just a special ability you can't upgrade it, the more you ascend the greater the chance of getting one - can't remember the exact % but I'm sure someone will post them up for you

oops indeed - thats the question i wanted to ask tho - ive aquired an ancient god account to replace my LG+2 account but it only has the following:

Ascended Blessing (1)
Ascended Blessing (2)
Ascended Blessing (3)
Ascended Blessing (4)
Ascended Blessing (5)

with no more upgrades available - considering the account is at a decent level: AG in comparison to the LG+2 account that I had previously which had more Ascended Blessings than my new account

I thought it would have more - maybe im wrong (I am anoob to all this accension thing - should ghave paid more attention at the start )

Forgot about that actually lol it stops at that tech but the % keeps increasing the more you ascend so it doesn't have any affect

cool stuff - cheers for the info - anyways back to the topic at hand it would be cool if the 25th accension had some extra unique tech or bonus but not something which would alter the balance of the game too much

hmmm.... it would be good to see that but if you think from scratch it take 2 months before you can ascend for the first time then every 14 days and half hour after that so:

1 year, 2 weeks,11 hours and 30 mins to get to The Unkown

that means new starter would pretty much be out of the running to do any real damage against accounts that (at The unkown) get 64% (66%! at 25) of the time get double their attack/def damn that damage would me massive 2 thirds of the time getting AB

not to mention the sizes of the MS in a years (current largest is above 3.6 trill without fleets i think) time aswell

it's sort of off balance already and possibly the only way to balance it would be to drop the hanger sizes upgrades and jst do it as weapons but a tonne of people would kick off about that

so in my opion i would say keep it as it is and have nothing special for the 25th ascention (in my mind i have the un-nerving thourght jason might make it so that the 25th ascention give +6% rather than +2% to round it to 70%! AB )

however i assume it won't come out until late 2010 (christmas pressy to the server) at the earliest time meaning those who get to 23 soon/already are will e able to do it in 2 weeks anyway

If people can create their own name then it can be abused, just like the current red titles, race, planet names can be abused. It just gives idiots more opportunity to waste Marks time changing names.
