warning *VIsta* Microsofts screwed system

Well Im quite a good computer person myself... Ive owned quite a few computers but seriously never have I had such problems as I do with Vista for real.. Hopefully the dam OS is done for soon dont buy it. My computer is shared with my GF, and it seems like now that VIsta can come up with totally new problems quite often... Well hell you can figure must have picked up a virus or something to corrupt this and that... But no Microsoft's come out with a new system that completely impossible for a *laymen* to fix... Xp... well she was a good friend tbh, you knew how to treat her she'd lay it all down on the line for ya. Vista, shes more like Miss AMerica, no touchy but shes out to screw everyone. ANd she can come up and screw you in ways that youd never thought possible 8-[ , maybe the Best Buy GeekSquad had a hand in helping Microsoft design Vista, maybe theyd the BrokeSquad if Xp was improved on?
Any comments on windows7? (is it)

yeah used em in school... Theyve got some good qualities but they are a bit harder to deal with when youre like my GF and are completely computer-illiterate... And ive got to have at least two mouse buttons for my 5 fingers to deal with (the scrolly thing and side buttons are just an advantage...) You an all around

In my experience, the more "non-factory" your machine is, the less likely it is to get along with Windows. Also, if the OS installed is not the original one that came with the system, you're gonna have problems.

As for your problems with Vista, it's just a heap of **Filtered**. I have limited experience with Win7, but I can tell you that it is considerably better than any version of Vista. If your machine isn't genuinely Win7 capable, you're best to stick with XP.

well im one of the few who dont have a problem with vista, actually ive had more problems with XP. if you want to know my thoughts about OEMs and vista, an issue i DO have a particular ragehate for, PM me as im not going to explain here yet again.

Win7 is good, its improved on what vista was, but a little less glitchy from what I hear (i never had glitches with vista, so I cant say for myself).

winXP on my desktop and win7 on the lappy, have more issues with XP SP3 than anything else. SP3 shot XP in the foot.

oh wow!

but anyway, vista was an improvement on xp, but it was also alot more moody. xp was alot more flexible imo.

and was there a reason for this thread apart from flaming vista? are you considering a new computer? or if its just a new OS, i'd advise not trying to install windows 7 if your computer originally had vista. as GG said.

1. get win 7. i got it and i'm happy now.
2. set the classic windows layout. aero is a waste of resources.

Re: warning *VIsta* Microsofts screwed system

Win7 is much too expensive (at least here) and Mac's and Apple's don't work with uni projects...and i have Vista and am feeling weird about it to say the least. Truth be it i have some problems with it but no suden crashes or anything... I suggest you no and laugh your way to succes...

and I suggest.... no, instruct, no talk of that kind here please.
