In modern times right now you could get a way with a hidden blade but in england its hard to do so

Bahhhhh. human Assassins are 2nd rate. The most fearsome assassins are ashraks.

Ashraks are very few and far in between. It takes many hundreds of years to hone an ashrak. Ashrak are highly skilled warriors that are able to survive for long periods of time in enemy territory.
They feel no pain, they can go for several days without food or water. They have invisibility technology. They will finish the job even if it takes hundreds of years.

They typically wear an ornate form of armor with a special helmet that covers their eyes which has a visor for them to see their environment. However, when infiltrating another society, an Ashrak discards their armor and clothing in order to appear as a member of the infiltrating culture.

The healing abilities of a Goa'uld Symbiote are fully exploited by the Ashrak who are capable of mending even the most grevious of injuries. In addition to this, they make use of specialist equipment such as the Hara'kesh which they are also capable of stashing in their mouth's which are regurgitated when needed. This allowed an Ashrak to hide their equipment making it easier for them to infiltrate a society.

Ultimately, they are killing machines.

There is only1 true ashrak that I know of, and he serves another lord.

ashraks cant create weapons with their minds, nor can they bend light to become invisible...

yes... but that is not the same as bending light...

Invisibility is in fact “bending light” so technically the ashrak can bend light. True they cannot form weapons out of their mind, but then if we are talking about opening up psionic forms or others then there are much better assassins out there, like terminator infiltrator units or even asurans
We are talking human abilities (ok, albeit with a symbiote) with skill sets and/or tech.

Ok. First. If you discussing the Protoss as assassins then they would never get anywhere near there enemy as they would be soooooo different.

Altair or his clan may be formidabe assassins, but still they get injured severley or they cannot get water then they are dead. Also, as they get older they will decrease in their abilities.
In the stargate world, when you get told an ashrak is coming for you, then you run, hide and get prepared for death.

Maybe can be moved to another area for further debate?

we did assassinate zasz... invisibilty from tech is not quite as good as natural ability to go invisible...

anyways, we'll let others bug the assassins now...
