Eating someone with self counsciouness, someone that you called friend, or simply someone that you had a chat with, to assure your own survival is madness. Animals eat other animals of their kind. Humans who do it, are no different than the animals, then?

Being serious for a minute, if I were dead already from this hypothetical plane crash I would be quite happy for someone starving to survive by cannibalizing me, after all it couldnt hurt me if Im already dead and it saves a someone else it's no different to organ donation. I would assume others felt the same and eat them

in such situation, one would most likely be in a very cold location, so meat would be very slow in rotting... if it was warm, one would most likely be able to head off in some direction for getting help, or be able to catch better food...

eating someone alive, would take very extreme circumstances for most non-psycopaths...

what would you do, if your family pet (be it dog, cat, elephant, turtle, armadillo...) died in the same plane crash, eat it?

would you, if you were to amputate something, and were allowed to, keep the amputated part preserved in a jar for display?

- the energy to produce that milk is greater than the energy that you'd gain by eating it... so, from energetic view, it's useless to do it.

As about canibalism, i would never do it, even if i'd starve to death.

It's an interesting hypothetical, I think practically, we're not much more different from animals as we'd like ourselves to believe.. -strictly looking at it biologically- So why would we be that worse to eat? We eat cows, deer, chicken, even pigs.. and since pigs are considered suitable organ transplant donors for xenotransplantation, there might even be some .. similarity.

But I'm no cook, and if the cooks tell me humans would be 'gamey' then I buy that, without questions.

actually, if the way we farm chicken and cows is of any indication, a human meat market will probably feature roughly 10 year old specimens, at about 50 KG each. they will most likely also be kinda short, with much wider than usual thighs and cheasts.

I'd like to think I wouldn't, but I can't one hundred percent guarantee that I'd never consider it in a life or death situation. Pressure, and the desire to survive, does strange things to people.
