Sabbing

Apologies if this is just the way it works on quantum, but sabbing seems a little messed up.

Covert level 15 sending 10 spies

Against covert level 6 with 5 spies

I am told "hmmm... not so much of a trail of disaster at all... your troops report the enemy had no weapons, hoping that either they tell the truth, or at least that nobody finds out otherwise... "

so basically kill nothing...

I sab again, this time sending 30 spies and kill 1 wep.

opponent had 31 weps, does it really take that long to sab people?

Re: Sabbing

Ok, same as every era. Here is how it works.

(Your power sent) - (their power defending) = "damage"

The "damage" needs to be greater than the power of their weapons to destroy anything.

Example.
You send 1,000,000 covert power.
They have 600,000 covert

The damage is 400,000.

They have 5 strike weapons, and each has;
Strength 278,571

You would kill one strike weapon.

---

Now that you see how it works. Ill point out one more important factor.

if they have;
They have 5 strike weapons with;
Strength 278,571

and Strike TECHS of 100
Each weapons power is actually 557,142

So in the above example, you would kill nothing. (and therefore get the message you got)

Strike weapons are killed before defense weapons. Weakest weapons first.

..

So bottom line...
Covert power sent, needs to be greater than their covert + the power of their weapons (which includes techs)

Hope this helps.

Re: Sabbing

thanks :-D

I guess I just thought level 15 with tech 100 would have done more damage lol

I'll send a lot more units next time :twisted:
