Possible Pay Pal SCAM

I received this the other day and I beleive it to be a scam because I dont have a Pay Pal account

it reads :

Dear Customer, During our randomly screening we have detected different IPs logging into your account. We do our best to protect the paypal community so we may suspend your access to your account and a copy of your driver license may be required. Please download the attachment and fill in the forms to avoid suspension. We are sorry for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience.PayPal Validation Department

--Forwarded Message Attachment--

attached to it is a HTML form that asks for your credit card details etc...

Just letting you all know to be aware of it if you didnt already know.

I'm sure it's a trap to steal your login and then steal your money. Never open or fill those attachments. PayPal wouldn't need your login if they had to do something.

Re: Possible Pay Pal SCAM

LOL anything that asks you for your credit card details is usually a scam especially if it's emailed.

Delete is a great option here.

Re: Possible Pay Pal SCAM

lol
YEP !!!

I knew as soon as i saw the title that it was a scam. ( title PayPal Validation Department‏ )

The format isnt even formal , plus all the other tell tale signs.... But some new pay pal user might not realise and out of sheer frustration/ worry might just fill it in to stop people stealing their money. Not everyone is "scam" savvy, or good with english so I posted it mor for them to be aware of it. ;)

Re: Possible Pay Pal SCAM

You should forward that email to

abuse@paypal.com

They will track and shut down the host that is sending the emails, there pretty dam good at that.
Deep within Noob Cave, you find a strange pool filled with a glowing blue liquid. You think back to what your mother told you about unfamiliar liquids found in caves.

You're pretty sure she said "Drink it! What's the worst that can happen?"
