Just wondering if the realm alert this era is actually doing what it's meant to do....

(Costs Naquadah/Turn, Increases Covert Defense)

Sure, i can see that it "costs"/lowers your income per turn - (which is bloody handy if you've got too high an income for your defense *waves hand* )

BUT... just interested to know about the increase in covert defense?? is that up and running, cause i'm assuming that "covert defense" is AC but i have not noticed an increase in either.. (C or AC)

Just wondering.

Thinking about it i dont' think i've ever noticed an increase to either of the C or AC power in past era's that had realm alerts, has that part ever been working...??

It does work. But it doesnt increase your actual stats. It makes it harder to sab you.

If you are on crit, your spies are 80% more effective when some1 tries to sab you.

So if you have 1,000,000,000 covert,
and some1 sends 1,500,000,000 power to sab you.
It will fail, because your spies have the 80% bonus,
making their defensive power 1,800,000,000

I think the other bonuses are
Low 20%
Medium 40%
High 60%

But I am certain critical is 80%

what s1eepy says is correct, but i think the figures are slightly off...

isn't it 10%, 20%, 40%, 70%?
