They are expected to catch up after spending a similar amount of time on the game as the 'end game players'. Maybe a bit less due to the prevalence and abundance of resources, but definitely not within a few months after starting to play.

And realise this. The real big $$ players? You'll never get them. Why? Well.. just take a look at the Market's supplies, and you can see the massive discrepancies in that regard. When you compare your growth, your size to $$ players, it's not about catching up. It's about not falling much further behind. And I'll agree that with this situation, you will fall further behind.


Could a 10 year old have achieved the same as a 30 year old who's had an active life up to that point in his life? Or could the achievements of the 10 year old prodigy compare to the achievements of an 80 year old captain of industry who has dedicated his life to furthering his knowledge, his riches, expanding his imperium?
No matter the genius of players, time will always be a crucial element. And time, you cannot catch up to. Unless you outgrow the growth of the growth of others by several multiples..

Well said. And due to their bigger ressources, they can buy more than small players. Small players can still "sell their MTs" like in old days, and with lower amounts of ATs, would make a nice benefit with it, and buy themselves uu. Grow income, buy uu, grow income, buy uu...and get reasonable.
Screw raiding! I've maybe raided 15mil uu in my life and rarely used $$ to get uus. And my growth started two years ago to be radically noticeable. So the ATs excuse, I laugh at it!

I think people are getting confused thinking any update is better than no update. Consider this, you see a person with a broken leg. You're not really able to fix it. Dont take a hammer to the leg simply to show you're doing something

I have to agree with Z, What incentive is there for the older players to stay if they been here 5 yrs and a 6 month old account can stomp them in the ground?

Fact is the new comer HAS the advantage. The game is new and exciting to them where someone who has been here 5 yrs is bored and sick to death of it. Its called the cycle of life, the older players leave the game allowing the best of the newer players to rise up and take their places.

Now I have no issues with it taking a new player 2.5 yrs to do what took others 5 yrs, but a 6 month (or less) account competing with a 5yr old account make the game pointless by the same measure that you argue For the new accounts.

I have played since the start, was small for a while, as I concentred myself on covert levels not uu. My growth started really two years ago.
I have raided about 15mil uu. I have started farming again recently, but before this year, I only farmed 35tril naq total since ME was introduced. I bought naq for $$ only since I started this uni year, before, I bought ONCE ATs for $. And before this uni year, I was like 220mil army size. Yes my dear officer/former commander gifted me over a year ago with 20mil uu (I was 19mil army size back then, focusing more on covert/MS)...
Yes 20mil uu gift...it's something but the 200mil remaining uu came from myself and my trading, and few from my UP. Not to mention my few ascensions that I had to buy extra uu losses as I lost about 15mil with ascensions due to supers and mid level UP.

So what was your point again?

Did you read my posts? I've grew up by TRADING INGAME NAQ FOR UU. Thus most of time spent was banking and waiting for brokers...or spying people for curiosity.

As for the latter part, it's not worth any comment from me.

Sorry for using you as an example MaxSterling, but the guy has developed very quickly. That's because he used his time in game to farm.

I go through 7-15k ATs per day. I grow quickly because I make the most use of my time and resources. I chat on the forums when I'm on PPT or taking a break from the game. When I have free time, I farm for profitable naq hits. I mass when I have some ATs to spare.

I grow fast because I know how to play smart and made smart investments.

I farmed yes, but 200mil uu I bought or so *not* from raiding came mostly from PPT naq and banked naq from off PPT.
You can ask Offensive Bias/Radiance about my growth if you want someone else's aware opinion, that I'm not a raider and wasn't a heavy farmer. But managed to grow myself up not too badly.

Well I'm not gonna post much more on this. Just wanna make it clear I think inflating AT prices is gonna be very bad for the game from the viewpoint of mid sized, non $$ spending accounts.
