Race change via ascension bug

So, I had originally set my race personality to invasive, my technology at naquadah based, and my troop types on replicators.

HOWEVER, after I ascended, the game reseated my entire race tree as being Income-naq-raiders. I would like it to have remained the same, but as it stands, I cannot reset my personality without descending myself.

Could I have an admin change it to what It should be? Or is there some bug with ascension that hasn't been found?

By the way, if you don't want to change both the personality and the troop type, ill shell out for the troop change, but I would like at least the personality set back to invasive.

Why it chose to use the tech option as a base to what it reset as, i don't know. I personally think that at least it should be the personality, since that is the only thing you can't fix... or at least keep each separate.

A few questions for you.

Which race did you pick at the VERY start? If you chose Goa'uld (Parasite god, depending when you joined) then this is why it was reset to the Naq race.

Second, when you ascend, your an ascended being. There is no races essentially. Choosing an un-ascended race, resets you back to un-ascended races.

I'm unsure as to if this is a bug, or as it was intended.

I believe I chose the invasive/replicators when I started.
And to answer your second-sort-of question, I know, but the ascended race personality-doesn't it offer the 25% bonus, or am i missing something?

Also, I found I suffer no penalty when depositing money in my bank, perhaps this is connected to this "bug?" Or is it something else?

Reason for this topic: Liked the 10% drop in covert/Anticovert prices-wondering if It can be reinstated after ascension.

No, when you ascend, you become an ascended being, with ascended bonuses. This for a Prior is +5% to each stat, including income. This is inplace of the 25% race bonus for the un-ascended race

Again, ascended attribute. Once you ascend, you no longer need to pay a deposit fee.

Again unfortunatly for you, this 10% drop, was only for the unascended race you had. And is not an ascended race feature. I was trying to get the ability to improve un-ascended accounts abilities, but no one seems to like the idea, of someone whom spends the same time as them, but doesn't want to ascend, being able to improve their race tech

Thank you. That answered my questions. I just thought the pretense of the basic race was supposed to be still activated. I suppose everything about your race is a mask after you ascend.

In response to the latter comment, I am in favor of the idea. I spent 8001 turns over the G&R-gaining cap before I thought I was ready for ascension, because I wanted to not lose so much when I am attacked by an ascended account. But, I suppose it is for the better, because spending more time on the main server before you ascend gives you more opportunity to gain APP. I ended with almost 23m APP when I ascended, but It took me more than 5 months to do so.

You know, if you went with Asgard, you would only take defensive damage 70% of the time. Or if you went Tauri, you would only take troop losses when attacking 70% of the time

Yes, i realize that, but that paled-in my eyes, after i got used to the game- in comparison to the 10% decrease in covert level prices, because it saved me over 8 trillion naquadah. I also got into the top 30 race rankings-solo-unascended.

Yes, i completely agree. Which is why i'm "fighting for the rights" of un-ascended accounts to be able to compete. If they put the same effort/resources into their account
