With modern technology they can all be changed if desired so.
racism is by definition prejudice with no relevence to actuall attributes. the chunky guy is likely to run slow, because he is heavier and need to exert more power and agility to match the same speed. the fact he CAN change has no relevence if he hasn't.
not allowing the gay guy, or the black, white, jewish, muslim, christian, or whatever on the sports team solely for the fact he is gay, black, white, jewish, musli, christian or whatever is a different matter alltogether.

First we identify those with the same skin colour, then we move on to other things like eye colours, hair colour etc.
This is as it were the root beginnings of racism in our psyche. It will takke many more years before we see it removed.
it will take exactly one brave decision, one firm hand by the government on said decision and one generation.
the minute kids from kindergarden onwards will grow in an integrated society, all racism will stop. if youll have your kids playing with black kids since they're 3, at six, when they will realise they have different skin color, they wil think nothing of it. at 8, when they will realise they have (say,) a different religion, they will have them at friends to long for that to matter. at puberty, when one of them will turn out to be gay, the fact they know him all his life will enable them to accept it. at 18, they ewill have pluralisam implanted in theire mental landscape, instead of racism.
after all, we all have much more in common than not.
note i wrote integated society, not integrated institutions. having integrted schools will do squat if there are seperated neigbourhoods.
it's not a wave of a magic wand, but it's a simple, effective and tested plan.
