Oh, no idea. I mean, making a post saying "Omg I'm being bullied and extorted" (tell me that's not what his first post says, and I'll be even more amused) .. using a thread title pitting Massey against "yofeehely and 'friends'".. I don't know. I guess that's not asking for help, then.

And how was he supposed to tell that somebody acting as if they are extorting him is actually a "joke"? I know i would have taken massey seriously, and its not the kind of thing people usually joke about to people they havnt met before.

As for why he put it in vendetta, i told him to because this is the normal practice when others havnt been dragged in yet but may do later. Luke knows its pointless for his friends to get involved because as you said, that would put him at a massive disadvantage.
Posting it as a 1v1 makes it more likely to remain as such instead of alliances getting directly involved on both sides.

So the facts so far:

Massey steals yofeehely planet.
Yofeehely masses Massey.
Massey puts himself on PPT. (For an undisclosed reason, hell, he might just have had.. umm.. work to do?)
Yofeehely calls him a coward. (As Man called Jim showed in his previous post; you cannot just assume that is a joke!)
Massey reciprocates by declaring war on yofeehely and everyone within 2 relational steps of him (CO - officer - ..). He 'sets the bail' at 50T, or will continue for 2 years, or until yofeehely quits. (If we're to just take yofeehely's comment as a joke, then this is obviously a joke too. Unless we have to consider Massey a more serious person as yofeehely?)
Yofeehely posts this thread, and says he's being extorted.


From that follows:
Massey is the original aggressor.
Yofeehely has some issues with diplomacy. (Calling someone a coward? Very diplomatic.)
Massey is generous, if he is serious; there is much more as 50T worth of destroyable elements within the network he describes.
Yofeehely's sense of humour is hypocritical, and he is supported in this strange notion by his friends.

No no, I know this. I have been told these things earlier. Been told about the 150B hit earlier too. Still, if I'd mass you and call you a coward for being smart and saving your skin, what would that make me? Your target for the next 2 years, if you're a person who holds a grudge..

I don't know why? I'm discussing a vendetta, with the representative of an otherwise absent yofeehely (Man called Jim). Essentially, I am talking to the thread starter, having a discussion about his thread. Man called Jim's insertions are, to my knowledge, approved comments which would otherwise have been posted by yofeehely.


Basically, Massey is just sending the message; "Don't mess with Massey."
Can you blame him? You have all these Reborn guys looming over you, allow one of them to steal your goods, and they'll be over you like flies on honey. He's right, Massey is. So he overreacts, I'll admit that he may have overstretched a bit, but allowing someone to just steal your stuff, when you're in the position to do something about it.. hell no. I applaud Massey for sending a clear signal to Reborn, and anyone who would attack him. Shame it had to come to a forum thread.. but hey.. I guess that's what we do.

The reason I specifically refer to you, using the "@Hooch:" syntax, is to illustrate that where I have been talking to yofeehely in the rest of the post, that particular bit, contrary to the rest of the post, is addressed at you.


It is admirable that the Pure Family supports you, yofeehely, (I suppose that's more clear) despite the obvious fact that your case is obviously just a desire for war. I applaud that. In fact, it's what the game is all about! So cut the sob story about being extorted, and mass the **Filtered** out of him and his allies/friends when you can. He'll do something similar. sighs there is a difference for standing up for oneself which luke did and and mass would do if he took on 1 on 1 i sent out a ingame PM not to farm massey or hit him at all when this was posted as did R8 with luke so it could remain a 1 on 1 between them both as me and r8 both wanted the end of this situation

its the way people act now in SGW overall that makes one reconsider whats the point anymore i grew up am finishing my degree going out into the world in a few months of work I don't want petty arguments anymore or arguments that aren't worth it in the end in any aspect of life espically a game more important things in life this whole thing is a waste of my time now
