Why do people create "looking for alliance" threads?

i did it because well i had friends in alot of places i couldnt decide and ones who said to apply i didnt think would want me surprised me so it helped me decide that doors i thought would have been closed were open to letting me join

i havent made my decision on my full time family home until may/june WOB was one i have friends in btw so i didnt need you to post in mine :smt047 lol

it helped because now i have more options to think over to then or stay with some people who are already family meh

as people knowing most of the alliance requirments that not true, and alot people don't join an alliance because ingame rep, it where they fit in the most or community the alliance offers.
