They arent untouchable, there are some players in this game that have a massive fleet strength, it just requires more team work now to take a planet out, that is decently defended.

Also i still doubt you'll see massive defended planets.

I like the vote by army tweak.

If it could be made by UU it`d be bulletproof, but even without its less practical to abuse the mercs option than to slap 20mil onto a high level AC.

And the server is atleast somewhat less stacked army wise than "being able to keep a stat" wise heh.
It`s gonna be crowded in the chaos house so theoretically it could be possible for everyone to support someone and have say mayhem booted for attacking the 140 ranks lol.
If nothing else its gonna nudge empires towards merging back to fewer alliances or at the very least have them concentrate in one house by necessity...

Those houses going really UN style lol, I like.




If it doesnt make the cut could the counter be incorporated into say the alliance rankings page or something? Next to total power? It`d be sweet to be able to monitor that as people go to war, power doesnt tell the whole story, if an alliance goes down a couple 100mil army size then you know it took a hit for a fact.
Allso shows which alliance has the highest income. :razz:

I have a high fleet, I would guess easily top 5% in the game...but there are planets defs\platforms already that I would have to triple my fleet to mass :-(

there will be a "civil war" -- if the game allows it:

-- FUALL massing other alliances
in the same house to either drive them out by forcing them to quit,

or to lower the target alliance's army sizes and member counts enough that FUALL can vote them out...

if the game does not allow declared "alliance wars" between members of the same house,
you will see whatever attacks are possible...

That is a "danger" any way you count the votes. Still, someone has a harder time to deprive you of your army than your stats. It now boils down to organization and sadly for some, there is only one mentionable hehe atm.



So the admin has to recognise just one fact.

These houses (or atleast the most "usefull" one for sure) will become extensions of allready existing coalitions that will have no issue dominating them. It will culminate inevitably in enemeis of the leaders of the house to be booted from the house when they come in conflic with them. Who are we kidding, we`d all do it. Pinning your hopes on how a mechanism turns out on peoples benevolance of not going the distance in possible abuse is... not wise heh.

So 2 options:

Either make houses creatable by everyone (and "customizable" in terms you choose what type you create). That way everyone can make one - they basically become ingame incorporations of sister alliances/empires most of us have or had.

or

Remove the option of the 4 fixed house leaders to boot alliances from the house depriving them of the bonus. Give them "fluff"/cosmetic options. Maybe the option to choose the houses bonus. (Or alternativly the bonus could be put to a general vote - instead of alliances backing another alliance, they`d back a bonus type). If you`re dead set on 4 different ones, some other feature, if the "glory" of being top dog of a house is not enough.



In both cases I`d reduce ingame bonuses as much as I could or chuck them out alltogether for "community"/roleplay features.

There`s too many bonuses as is and the game is very very top heavy, politically too.

You cant just put in a cool voting system, attach a nice prize to it and take your chances.
It is obvious now what the result will be sooner or later, "exclusive rights" being claimed on that bonus by one group, whichever it may be (thoe we have only 1 contender ergo favorite atm lol).
Question is, do you want that result? It`s only gonna empower those allready in (or close to) power.

make the houses customisable where you buy the stats with allaince bank earning but bonus's gets divided by members

Eg. 50 tril fro 100% attack up for 30 members is 3% plussed each

I think houses should work differently. It should be you can create an "empire" if you like. Alliances in the empire then pledge their alliance banks to one alliance, who they vote as the leader. The leader of this alliance could then pay for stat bonuses.

1tril: 0.1%attack, 0.4%defence, 0.3%covert, 0.2% AC(or similar).

going on the previous post, it should be more like

1. attack house = +10% attack but -30% to mothership

We all know that unless something is done about the way massing works defenses are useless anyway, defend it all you want you know its true.

2. defense house = +20% defense but -30% to income

Why have a free 1/5 bonus to defense and keep the income too.

3. covert house = +30% to covert/anti covert but -30% to defense

With that free 1/3 boost to covert you wont need that big defense as no one can see you

4. (if you really must) 10% boost to MS, but - 20% attack/defense and UP.




Hit the nail on the head...like seriously why must we keep stacking bonuses on bonuses. there is never consequences in this game only reward

I dont mind the covert update, but it should not effect covert planets at all! Covert planets have been at a disadvantage since planets were released, this will even them up a fair bit! If covert planets stay the same...

The update to covert is void now, as the houses now uses armysize not stats for voting, so yea.
