in this game i noticed ppl dont really care about whos in control of the galaxy even if they have the bonus or not...

Thats the point, they don't care and we want them to. And how could you know if they would whether or not there was a bonus, you've never tried it.

instead of 4 races in the battle why not count ancients and tollan and system lords and nanotimasters to make it 8 competing for it

i think original is still best those in control keep bonus etc. but that would make it achievable. if we split all the races into their ascended ones then theres 8 and that would cut the asgards control instead of 150kasgard itd be 80kancient 70kasgard meaning, even after split others could easily catvh them with some hard work.

i think the idea of switching leader every few weeks is pointless then what do people have to play for? they have no need to get invloved if game will change leadership automatically

even if u give them the bonus ppl still wont care becuase its not worth wasting ur resources to gain that "Control bonus"

i really like this. however i think it should be they get the 5% to the opposite bonus than what their race is, like tauri would get a 5% def bonus, gua'uld would get a 5% covert bonus, that would take the edge away from their direct enimies. like the gua'uld and the reps, if the reps controlled they would produce 5% more income and have 1/3 their bankin fee's taken away.

Brilliant idea, i just dont want the asgard to get to much advantage it would be a bit unfair to the others.

So let me get this straight. You want to get an extra racial bonus because other players that just happen to be the same race as you are doing well?



The idea is seriously flawed. I can understand a desire to unify the races - that would be cool. But giving a bonus to the race that is "in control" is not the answer. Afterall, let's say that we gave the Asgard an extra 5% on a couple of stats for being in control. Now, the other "races" are going to have to co-ordinate to an insane degree to unseat them. That will just never happen. A much more sensible plan froma player perspective would just be to change race to Asgard. Now, you might not want to do that, but don't forget not everyone thinks as you do.

The thought is good, but this is not the way to go about it.

ummmm no bonus it hasnt changed much for about 6 months(asgard in control)......

i say the 3 other races that are not in control should geta a bonus if u wacked asgards....so who ever is in control the other 3 races get a slight advantage to even things out a little but thats just me talking.

in war, only the victors get bonuses, losers go home and whine how its not fair

very true - but whoever said the Asgard gained control because of war?? More like lack of it!! The Asgard have, by far, got the best bonus in the game - defence - this is because all they have to do is build up their defence, then sit back on their shiny grey butts and let the naq roll in! The defence does not cost anything to use.

And, before you say that the Tauri attack is just as good - and helps break those defences - think again - the Tauri attack costs a hell of a lot to use - especially against those big defences, which is why Asgards with high defence are not often targeted - because it costs those with a ahigh enough attack to break that defence an arm and a leg in repair costs.

Therefore, it seems mightily unfair to give the races which already had the best bonus in the game (The Asgard), another bonus because they are in control - because it is much more difficult to remove teh Asgard from power than it is anyone else - I think the history of the game has proven this!

that is why someone suggested the races be split asgard would not include ancients, so therefore its more open and as for people changing race 2 things, a)its limited to 3 and many would have less then 3 so it wouldnt be a mass change over, b) who would change race and loss all the supertroops and stuff for a 5% or 10%

I think this idea has some merit, however personally i am far more committed to my alliance than i am to my race. Most alliances have members consisting of the 4 different races, and i think most ppl would be more interested in seein their alliance in control than their race. I gave up caring which race was in control long ago and have no problem attackin ppl who happen to be in the same race as me!

I like the original idea as i agree that it might help to unify races to act more like in the series - i also agree that the bouns shouldnt be hugh - but enough to make it worth while.

However i also realise that the asgard have been in control for a long long time and giving them a bouns isnt gonna help matters (although i aint complaining as im an asgard)

so what u gonna do ... is there a way to make this idea happening without making it impossible to displace the asgard ??
