Honestly I don't know why this is still going on.

The word is a silly word and shouldn't be on the filter, I think I've proven that already. Though I wouldn't blame the admins, they were merely trying to do what's best. They made an innocent mistake, they saw the word on the same level as the "F word," so they did the reasonable thing, they filtered it. But it's really not, it's just a silly word. Now the reasonable thing to do would be to unfilter it and just warn those that use it inappropriately.

Agreed, more so because the word in question.. wasn't being used as an insult. Such as the "F word" or other filtered profanities. It was simply an alliance name, which really didn't offend anyone. If it did offend someone, I apologize.. but it seemed to be in gest rather than to belittle someone.

One of the few reasonable posts in this topic, i'd consider removing the filter for it, if it's not going to be thrown around left and right and abused one bit

i did ask you in the last few posts to unfilter it and if it gets abused filter it again.. also using urban dictionary to define a word is silly i could sign up there right now and post a definition of the word in question...

ah whatever u say urself man id be better off talking to a brick than you.. im fed up with it do what u like, i could come up with best defence ever for our case an u still wouldnt accept it.. so yeah that is all

Earendil seems to be willing to remove the word from the filter, at this point I think it would be best to just say thanks and assure him that you wont be throwing the word around all willy-nilly to insult people.

No, if you came with a clear head and a good reason, not excuses, silly examples or anything else like that, I'd listen.

i did not use silly excuses or examples my point about urban directory is a valid one go have a look at the site u will see just about about anybody can go there and put in a definition for a a word...

and nobody has said they were offended by the word and the word was not used to insult anybody

there have been 3 threads about this word and in everyone of them the people has said they weren't offended by it

and there are worse words said on this forum that arent filtered..

but again this will fall on deaf ears

Although I wouldn't predict a forum-wide surge of people using the word, you need to be aware that there are always going to be individuals who delight in pushing the boundaries. For those individuals, I guess it's going to have to be standard procedure.
