I actually like the house of science. Though i don't fully agree with 100% AB cancellation. Perhaps like 50% chance, or -5% to each stat for a 50% chance to negate it, though the person in the house never gets it

While House of Science IS a slap in the face for everyone who has spent the time ascending to Unknown or other similar high ascension, it's not entirely bad. The negation of the blessing for both attacker and defender means that an Unknown for example is reduced to about a 14% bonus. Using same numbers of Supers and weapons then that's still rather significant over a LG for example. But yet, it's not a great thing to have to contemplate.

other then the way houses can be controled I think these are some of jasons least bad ideas, but I'll never understand why when you tell him how things will be exploited he never listens.

maybe if it had not been the 2/3 yr basic absence he wouldn't have some "issues" to deal with.

Sorry Sarevok, but he had some really good ideas passed along to him over 2 yrs ago, that were hashed out rather well by the community. He chooses to go his own route and I am fine with that, but I am not fine with the fact that when you tell him the bad sides, how it can/will be exploited, or the obvious failure to the update that he just hides away and pushes faulty updates through anyway.

I mean I would be all for it, and back him if he would actually recend faulty updates when they are proven faulty, but that has happened very few times so we have to press upon him how we feel something is a bad update, or what is wrong with said update.

I don't mind the "houses" update. Its 2 maybe 3 characteristics of the update which I feel will make it fail. So I feel its important to express my opinion and show how and why I have said opinion.

They being control of a house and what. What would you suggest allowing control. Obviously we can't have everyone being apart of one. So how would you do control. You'd be better off saying why it's bad, and how to make it better, then just that it's bad.

IMO Tetris, we get the point. 1/2 the people in this thread have said this, so why continully re-itterate it? If we strip the bonuses, what else is left, apart from a visual bannar that already does what most of the community already knows exists.

really the biggest issue the houses create is more power to the already powerful. This biggest issue with the game is newbies already overwhelmed with the ability to catch up, not only that but the struggle they have of challanging accounts that have ties with others as powerful or more powerful then themselves. So really its just more of a seperation from old and new.

Additionaly politics, numbers and coheresion will control the houses.

I agree. Something needs to be done so new accounts can compete. Biggest question is what though. Do we give them heaps of resouces when they start, and run the risk of more multies. Do we reduce current peoples power and thus punish them for being loyal. Get new accounts to start at LG+1, but thus dimishing the effort already used by those whom already play.


Question for the community (or at least those that read this), what are peoples views on reducing the powerups from ascension? Instead of a 49% stat boost, we get say 25-30% in each stat? And AB chance of hitting, or power added is reduced also. Something like either 40% max chance of blessing, or when blessed, only a +50% power boost, instead of 100%.
I know on face value you'll hate it. Since you've put all that time and effort into ascending for the bonuses you have, but is it better to keep the powerful powerful, and keep new players away. Or is it better to reduce the power of the powerful, so new players have more of a chance faster, and can enjoy the game.

God, if you are ging to do that, why not just stratify the game more on ceertani ascension numbers and army sizes.

So that a 200million Unknown account can only attack accounts over 100million men and say 17 ascensions. While a 300million LG+1 can only attack accounts that are over 200million men and between ascensions Prophet to Ancient God

I didn't really think about how the stratification should take place so the above is an example, only.

What's the point of having a game that grows if you are just going to screw over those who actually GROW?

I'm not saying, "Make MS 50% as powerful as they are now".

What i was trying to say is. Rather then needing troops of 1T power to use a MS of 1T power. You need 2T power from troops, to use the MS. Same with planets. Instead of getting 100B for every 200b troop power, you get 100B from every 400b troop power.

I say that because it means people will have to put more on the line to battle, and it means that all the bonuses we get from MS, ascnesions, planets etc, is not as dramatic as they are currently. It also means for the new people, when they put their 1m defenders out there, people aren't going to come along with a 1T strike with 1m attackers, when they only have a defence of like 200b.

Notes to ALL reading this. Jason has heard SOME (no not all, just some) of the comments, and made adjustments. From what i can remember they are:

Planet 50% of max 'natural' value corrected
Previously, the AVERAGE of all planets of one type (ie attack) could not count for more than (planet count x 50% natural strike action).
This has now been changed (to reflect what the planet description actually says) that ANY GIVEN PLANET cannot contribute more than 50% of natural (post bonus) value to attack.
The same goes for defense, covert, anti-covert, and UP. Income planets are not affected.
For all those out there whom don't like the "exploite" that many considered a "feature"

LONE WOLF
With more and more benefit for alliances, and houses (which require alliance), the person in no alliance, thus no house, will receive a 'i am so tough i fight alone like chuck norris' bonus of 10% to natural attack and defense. This is ontop of any commander/no commander/own commander bonuses, and deals specificly with alliance or no alliance.
To all those whom had justified(imo) concern about those without an alliance. They now get a bonuse for being a lone wolf (first ever from what i can remember)

Pergatory
Requirements now listed on the personelle summary grid. The entry is 15% of 'max units' (max units is 1/2 of plague threshold, and is listed as well...it grows with time), and you are booted at 20% of the same value. Only the entry maximum is listed. The time between attacking/protection and moving back to pergatory, is now 48hours (from 24). It is meant to be a place to be, not a place to go to and from...
For all those perg haters out there. You now have an extra 24 hours to go after them before they can get back in there

Bug Fixes
Double Count Military Experience fixed.
Part of the ME is now fixed, and the values are now swapped. You earn 3x the exp from having an emeny loose attack units against, you, as you do loosing them to the enemy

I like how lone wolves got some love.

What about lone wolves alliances? Lets be realistic, with houses basically "enforced NAPs" they`ll be claimed and kept lean. The majority of alliances that will stay out now have more incentive to disband ingame and tag themselves with the red titles or something for the 10%/10% bonus, than to carry on. :razz:
