You have to be within 50% of the top UP for it to work.

just do what i do take your current UP upgrade cost round it up divide yoru current cash by it if you come up with a number higher then 100 upgrades then you need to increase the rounding, if you come up with a number between 50-99 your usualy good (i still lower it by like 5 just to be safe then keep an extra bank tab open to get rid of the excess)

Seems to work for me as well, but, I allowed a little cushion, and, I was definitely within 50% of the Top UP at the time. I used it for a little over a 1.3 Bill NAQ being pulled out and used, backed up about 4 upgrades, and left about 124 Mill NAQ hanging out (which equated to about 6 upgrades) so, if I had used the Calc to the letter I would have had a 2 upgrade cushion left out.

Not bad, close enough for even Stupy Affy to get it right...

Oh yeah, just kidding about Lord Apo, that is just Affy's evil split personality alter-ego "Bad-Affy" letting off steam, she is still broken hearted about their Break-up a year or so back. She is walking the streets and gutters of London trying to get her self-respect back...

No, the calc doesn't work for Era 24.
Yes its possible to make one that does work.
No, im not currently working on a new calculator.



Where was I... oh yes.. Sorry I haven't been playing for a while.. I was majorly put off by the farming limiter, I just didnt have enough time to be spending hours farming inactives. I relied on being able to burn my turns as quickly as possible when I had the chance. Without that, I couldn't really compete.


During my time away from playing, other things have laid claim to my limited free time.

I tried to make time for the new era, to really give it a go, seen as the farming limiter has been lifted... but, alas, it hasn't worked so far. I'm not sure if ill ever be playing like I used to
But if i find a few hours free ill have a look and see if I can make my calculator work for this era, but no promises, and no time-scale.

It would probably be best, for short and long term, if someone else had a fiddle around and made their own. Most of the code from mine is in fine, just need to plug in a few different variables.. just have to work out which ones, and where they fit into the formula. Or make one from scratch.. it wasn't that hard.
[spoiler](Hard was trying to figure out how to work out the techs.. stupid things don't count as a bulk buy, they take into account each %change for each tech you buy, no matter how many you buy at once.. stupid things nearly broke my brain)[/spoiler]


But yea, I still lurk the forums, making sure you guys aren't abusing each other with hammers and such, but the days of pwning all you n00bs ingame seems to be over.. at least we will always have the memories

I'm not sure which calc (from which era) Apo used but when we were talking on msn I just increased my UP and when I asked him to check the top UP and it was just 10 away from mine.

In the morning (or was it yesterday at night, can't remember) Deerslayer came with number that top raw is 33k from that UP calc and judging by my UP which was the top at the moment I suspected that maybe just if you divide the top raw you get by 2,5 you come to real top UP. I'm not sure why his showed 2,5x more while Apo's was correct (or maybe Apo divided it by 2,5 himself as well)..Dunno..but it is possible to determine top raw from that calc.

I modified the calc a little and it seems to work... i will tweak it some more and post it up once it works properly, shouldn't take too long
