Six Sigma seeks to improve the quality of process outputs by identifying and removing the causes of defects (errors) and minimizing variability in processes. It uses a set of quality management methods and creates a special infrastructure of people within the organization ("Black Belts", "Green Belts", etc.) who are experts in these methods.

My Dad is a Quality Assurance Professional, and likes Six Sigma very much...

though I think he likes LEAN Six Sigma even better...
(LEAN simplifies tasks, factories, offices, etc... where as Six Sigma focuses on quality... certainly some overlap, hence the combo...)

Somebody should get Zeeky a siggy for the first Six founders of Sigma...

i got my green belt certification last year for completing my sigma project not sure if i'll go for the BB or not.

it would be coincidental.

when an OE alliance it forms it name always contains 2 things, a greek symbol followed with allegiance. now there are currently 4 symbols in use:
omega, alpha, PI and delta. mayhem had the lambda simbol. so those can't be used.

as a scientist i come across:
beta, sigma, phi, psi, gamma and the others frequently.

now beta just sounds like a training alliance to me and that's not what i wanted it to represend.

i never realy liked psi of phi.

then i had to pick between gamma or sigma. i only realy find gamma in radiation. whilst on the other hand i use sigma everywhere. from sums to angles. and specialy the angle part iliked beceausse i personaly always look ad things from another angle then most ppl.

so sigma overtrew the deadly gamma rays you could say and i'm fairly happy that i won the argument i had with tekki over the past few months. wich would be the name for the next OE alliance. she wanted phi, i wanted sigma.

up to 4 members now, who else wants to try out for a look from a different angle ?
