If a user wishes the Ombudsman to help them get there point accross, let them, he is, afterall, there elected offical.

So, by your logic, the mayor of my small (very small) town should have the ability to deal with federal matters in the local NSA branch because he was elected by the towns people.

@ Clarkey. His warning has nothing to do with any verbal warning that HE may of gotten. (which you know) and the last verbal warning in his usernotes is for spamming threads outside of the Temple.

Ombs on here are elected to mediate and police issues between forum users and mods/admins are they not?

as earendil has pointed out repeatedly, issues with mods are to be taken to the section GM first, then to the admin team... not to the ombudsmen first...

in this case, since it is a GM, the correct procedure would be to take it to the admin team, which was not done... after that has been done, and only after that, is it to be taken to the ombudsmen...

First off, the ombudsman is for challenging warnings only. If you have an issue with a moderator then follow contact that mod, if that does not work, contact their section head and then lastly, if need be contact the Admin team about the problem.

That is BS, I don't care what that post says. The Ombudsman office was created to be someone the users feel safe going to when they have an issue regarding the forums and would rather not deal with a mod or admin. No where was it stated(before now) that the Oms is only there to be an appeals judge. If that was the case, then the title would be Appeals Judge and the section would be called the Supreme Court of the Forum or whatever, it is not. It's called the Ombudsman and the Ombudsman's corner.

In the spam temple a few Non-english threads will be allowed, as long as those threads conform to the rest of the forum and temple rules, anywhere else on the forums and said thread will be shut down, dumped and warning handed out. Pretty clear cut no? you need more explanation?

Now on to the issue of Juliette abusing her powers, I see no one but yourself spouting off at the mouth about mod abuse. That is not to diminish you in any way, but until you can give a clear cut example, not some out of context quote that you are choosing to misinterpret as an abuse of her power and station you have no legs to stand on. As to whether the admin is looking into the situation or not is quite frankly an internal matter, and since two of them have posted here you can be quite certain they are well aware of your baseless accusations and are likely checking them for validity as the staff is their concern not the ombudsman. Your lack of respect for procedure is very likely to distance yourself and hurt your case anyway, and instead of acting out and lashing out every time you misconstrue something perhaps taking a step back, realizing this is not real life, and you can take a breath before posting something. Yes your concerns are indeed worthy of note as are any users, but you need to refine your accusations, present evidence in a clear concise manner, and not take things out of context. You say that Juliette always wins her debates against you, the reason is because you do not think rationally when you post, you REACT emotionally, rather than acting logically. You need to relax a little bit Roket.

I dissagree it is out of context? I don't see how her saying it was allowed in that post... but if I put one I get warned or threatened a warning... I don't see how that isn't double standards, and I don't see how a mod can do double standards, I have breathed... and I did do it the right way, I don't PM Uni because she is awesome in PM's and caring and kind, although the truth remains that she still uses hers stronger, if no one agrees with me, why did Tetris say to me that he agree'd she goes to far, why has about 20 users said that mods are abusing powers, I think Ang you are running off the mouth without thinking, so before posting you should probably get your facts straight... now if I posted this here before and she simply read it rolled her eyes and walked away... I went to Ombudsman because I tried taking the right steps, so how did I not? Exactly Ang I like you but do your research mate, before you run your mouth now Admin can you answer me, if I do the right step and I am simply ignored, where should I go, if Admin just won't listen to reason, if they always stick up for there mods, should I go to Jason, would that even work, or is this just a lost cause and I just wait until Admin and modship changes...

My advice to you is to calm down, and PM the admins now about this. Ask one question at a time and ask the nexdt question once you get the first one answered.

i'm fed up of reading the same whining, i'm sure others are.

PM the admins, be mature and polite, don't make accusations, just ask a question at a time.

I'm pretty sure you will then get a better response. Also give them time to respond as well, because believe it or not the admins do have to discuss issues like this between themselves, and seeing as they are 3 individual people they may not be online together to discuss it together.

I recommend you take my advice because otherwise it just looks like you are the one running off your mouth.

Trust me, I been in many of these situations myself and i can honestly say PM first is the best way to go, it looks better on you if you go that route first.

I was giving you good advice. I said believe me because i've been through this a LOT more times than you, and I have always found contacting the admins via PM is the best way to go. You don't have to take my advice, but I will offer it anyway, just don't accuse me of insulting you!

thank you for reitirating Clarkey, there is a procedure for a reason, and I did do my research Roket, none of the admins were PM'd regarding the issue, it has been clearly stated that a few of these in the temple and ONLY in the temple are allowed, so you posting a thread in another language any where else is entirely warnable where as Jo's was in the temple and therefore allowed, to an extent. I am getting fed up with trying to deal with situations that can be headed off with a PM to an admin, and patiently waiting a response, nothing is done instantly, so even if the admins find that she was abusing her power it might take them some time to come to that conclusion, they have to weigh every single action she takes as a moderator and figure out where she is being heavy-handed if she is being to harsh. I have not seen a single iota of anything more than circumstantial evidence against her, and all of it coming from you, one might say you are in fact bias against her, you have a personal issue with her. No one is saying that however because despite what you might perceive as the staff "closing" ranks, we actually do care about issues like this, its just much easier to deal with if there is something more than the victimized user and mod doing a he said she said kind of arguement. You say that 20 users and Tetris support you....I didn't see any where that they were saying she was abusing her powers, simply that this definitely was a situation that needed attention, which I wholeheartedly agree with. A definitive example of her abusing her powers would be highly useful in such a case, but as the only things you can post are snippets of conversations, thus removing the context of the thread or PM scenario in which they were said, you are limiting their effectiveness as evidence. In order to properly judge her modding one would need access to her for an extended period in order to ask why this why not this why that way etc... So PM the admins, don't expect an immediate response, chill out a little bit, and try not baiting people who are trying to remain objective and offering you some advice.
