Weapons price increase

basicly. umm what the hell.
u want to incrase value of weapons??
this will more then likely destroy young accounts.
with the huge increase in naq needed ad the bonus hows this going to help new account reach 1mill weps.


i have no objections to adding a new wep to each race. but making them 10X the cost will certainly bump larger players up again.

especially if it take over the original weapons.

imo a new weapon shoudl be added and cost's more not replace the ones we have now.

really, its way too expensive
its only viable in beta to get millions of weapons at that price

Should introduce a new weapon, only for defence that's a bit more expencve, that gives say 40% more than currently, and don't give the equivelent in attack weapons, I think that would make defences costlyer to mass, and make defences more expensive to mass

I think there should be 2 or 3 more levels for defense weapons than for attack in order to fix the game and compensate for the ascended blessings that the attackers get. Combined with the ATs price, that will make the bullies think twice or trice before massing someone and they will choose the farms more carefully by actualy spying first - which is how the game is/was supposed to work.

Also how would you regulate an update like this? People could save up 100T naq, then right before the update invest it all into defense weapons. After the update, just resell for a profit of 800T naq.

Also think about the people currently who have between 20-40mil defense weapons. That would have cost between 12-24T. After the update, they can resell for 100-200T

when this has been done before, it caused damage to the weapons to give them the same strength they had before...

I'd suggest adding new tech level(s) that increase defensive and/or attack stats, much like there already is. Tech level could be based off ascension, and/or have a expentonial increase (kinda like MS tech), and/or have a upkeep cost. This will 1.) make it so its not exploitable. 2.) keeps some balance and 3.) makes ascending worth the heavy investment (if based of ascension).

Just a thought not that it would work but just a different apporach.

I'm not sure if the sale price was supposed to be changed as well, but it wasn't I don't think... at least it sells for barely anything comparatively.

nobody can afford defence weapons ergo people dont have a defence and snipers cant mass your defence!

the thought was to make weapons more for 'inflationary reasons' -- ie everything is more expensive, except weapons, it seems.
that said, more thought sees some downsides to this (ie less units needed for a defense or attack of set amount of naq, etc).
so - old prices back :) but resell rate of attack weapons is still much less, to make massing more costly....if you dont want to leave anything to attack back, or protect yourself from sab...

I think that the increased weapon strength of the defence weapons should stay. You had it set to 5995 or something. And this was good, as it gave defence weapons more staying power.

Based off what you described, perhaps less drastic price increases? Weapon power is now doubled. Why not triple it, and double weapon cost. This way, instead of weapons being 2x more powerful, there only 50% more powerful in terms of cost.

One last thing. I don't think defence weapons should be at 90% re-sale. This would just invite people going to war to sell off their defence to save resources. Leave attack weapon re-sell as it stands, and put defence weapons re-sell back to the 50% it used to be (not quite 50% but something along those lines)

Although, don't increase the cost for un-ascended accounts. But have the power increase. Since they are dis-advantaged as it is, it will allow new people to grow more cheaply before ascending.

Is the price of fleets resale also going to be 10%? If so, that sounds like another low kick to any potential planet takers.
